Resonance Surge - of course! I also read Only Good Enemies by Jennifer Estep. This is book two of her Galactic Bonds series. If anyone is interested in reading the series, I strongly recommend you reading Only Bad Options, which is the first book.

Resonance Surge (squeee!!!) which I am rereading now.
And I also enjolyed Lindsay Buroker's Cursed (Legacy of Magic #8), the final book in that spin-loff series.
