Woohoo!! There Should Have Been Eight is an Amazon Editor’s Pick for November in Best Mystery, Thriller & Suspense!
This is a locked room mystery except the ”room” is a gothic ruined mansion in New Zealand’s Southern Alps. It features seven friends, one huge secret, and a reunion that goes quietly, terribly wrong…
Look at this gorgeous special edition copy of Angels' Blood!!! It's being produced by my UK/international publisher and is a hardcover with foiled cover artwork, sprayed edges and more! And it'll be out in time for the holidays!
You can preorder via the Gollancz Emporium. They will ship to anywhere the UK editions publish.
The stunning golden alpine grassland on which I stood over a year ago and wondered hmm, how can I turn this into a quietly sinister thriller.
It’s beyond gorgeous in daylight but imagine it in the pitch dark, in the middle a snowstorm…and someone is bleeding from stab wounds…Welcome to the Shepherd Estate, half ruined and with secrets in the walls.
“There Should Have Been Eight” releases in 3 weeks!!
p.s. That’s frost on the grass in the foreground. So, so beautiful.

Photos from a short trip to the Tongariro National Park after I turned in Primal Mirror. This part of the park is a (freezing) alpine desert with endless vistas. Isn’t it breathtaking?

Alt Text - quote from Angels' Blood: Option 1: Attempt to back out. Probable result: Death after painful torture. Option 2: Do the job and hope. Probable result: Death but probably no torture (good).
There are some books that, when I think of them, evoke strong memories and feelings, transporting me back in time. Are there any books that do the same for you?
