Signings & Books!

First of all, a huge shout-out to the wonderful booksellers who hosted the events, and to all of you who attended the signings, at the Lori Foster Weekend in Cincinnati, Joseph-Beth in Lexington, The Book Cellar in Chicago, Murder By The Book in Houston, and Hastings Entertainment in Waxahachie! I had an awesome time at all of the events, and loved getting to meet so many of you.

I'll be at the Boas and Tiaras Tea tomorrow. If you aren't able to attend, you can still participate - the event will be livestreamed at: http://freshfiction.com/romancelive/, Saturday, June 11th at 11am Central (12pm ET / 9am PT).

That's Sunday 4am New Zealand time, Saturday 6pm Berlin, Saturday 5pm London. If you need to work out the time in your timezone, the Meeting Planner on the World Clock is great.

Now it's time to talk books! What are you reading and loving this week?

I am reading Kiss of Snow! :P Of course! I have dedicated this weekend to Hawke and Sienna. I am sure he will jump out at me and hopefully I will be able to capture him in the right light for the character portrait. On a side note, are you exhausted yet?!! You have been non stop for a week! I am tired for you!

I read and finished Hunt the Moon by Karen Chance, Magic Slays and Hexed (Ilona Andrews), and Kiss of Snow and LOVED IT!! :D
It was awesome. Sienna was the perfect fit between strength and vulnerability and totally stood up to Hawke (and I'm glad he finally got his pairing). And the secondary characters were all interesting as well (Vasic, the Ghost, and Nikita especially!--I really hope they get their own book soon, even if it's not a romance).
Hunt the Moon was great, too, with the continuation of the development of the love triangle (to the slight obliviousness of Cassie). And Pritkin! God, I love Pritkin. :D With his crazy hair.
Magic Slays was also great. A bit more tragic and dark than the previous books and also more reflective (more like where do they go from here?), but great nonetheless, especially the interaction between the characters (Kate, Curran, Andrea, Derek, Julie, and Ascanio).
Actually, I was really surprised by how good the books were. Usually, as a series progresses past four or five books, it just becomes more predictable and the same, but every one of these were awesome (not to mention their respective series)! Loved them all. :D

After reading Kiss of Snow roughly 4 times (couldn't get enough) I started to read the first book in the Riley Jenson series by Keri Arthur. I've been meaning to make a start on this series for a while. Although the storyline was great, I didn't really connect with the characters, and personally didn't think the book was too well written in a lot of aspects. Then again, after reading one of your books nothing is :) I think this series will have to go on my DNF shelf.

While I'm waiting for my copy of Kiss of Snow to get here, I just finished Lifestyles of the Fey and Dangerous by Danica Avet - really good paranormal romance. Am finishing The Vampire Narcise by Colleen Gleason this morning. Then I'll be starting Desire Untamed (Feral Warriors, #1) and Passion Untamed (Feral Warriors, #3) by Pamela Palmer. I will follow those with Dark Warrior by Lenore Wolfe, Celeste Nites by Clarrissa Lee Moon, Ann Mayburn's new Dance of the Gods and Dark Awakening by Kendra Leigh Castle. That should keep me occupied for most of the week and then hopefully KOS will be here.

i plan to reread kiss of snow also! that seems to be a popular idea. i'm reading a series by Nicky Charles because its free from B&N on my Nook. So far I've read "The Mating" and "The Keeping". Next i'm going to read "The Finding". i actually like them. I'm kinda in the mood for an emotion evoking type of love story, maybe historical. any suggestions?

Nora Roberts: Chesapeake Bay.

I was going to order Kiss of Snow today but they've only released the hardcover so I have to wait until November to find out what's happened - once I get over the heart attack of thinking they'd increased the price of softcovers exponentially!

Nalini - It was wonderful meeting you in person in Houston. I just finished my signed copy of Kiss Of Snow and it was fabulous (not that I was expecting anything less!) It was neat to see that side of Hawke that we never got to see before in the other books. Thank you so much for coming to my side of the world for a visit and I hope to see you again soon. Take care!

Reading Meljean brooks demon series. got to demon forged while I wait for the next Iron Seas book. TO CONY swore off of Anita after Bullit but hear Hit List is less psycho sex and psyho killing and psycho whining and want to know if I will hate my self if I read it.

To Beberie,
if you get it in your lokal libary, take it, otherwise wait till it is cheaper.
It is less psycho and less sexual (1,5 sex secenes) but it is also less content to. The fight is totally unsatisfying and the hunt for the bad guys... well... it is no real hunt. There are hughe gaps within the handling and after I finished I was very unsatisfied.
The main guys, beside of Edward and Olaf, played no part, neither J.C. nor Micah nor Richard or Nathaniel.
Greetings
Cony

I read Kiss of Snow already. I absolutely loved it! Sienna gave Hawke a run for his money and he needed that desperately.

Actually, I've read all the books on my TBR pile that have come out so far. Vampire in Atlantis by Alyssa Day was the other one I read around the same time. I also read Charity Received by Madelyn Ford, Burning Skies by Caris Roane, and Dragon Bound by Thea Harrison. These are all relatively new authors for me, but I loved their books.

Since I have nothing new, I am actually going back to re-reading old favorites. I've gone through the older books in the Psy-Changeling series. I'm also looking into my older Cynthia Eden, Shelly Laurenston, Lora Leigh and others.

Reading 'Game of Thrones' by George R R Martin and loving it, very addictive stuff, if you thought you had an issue between the age gap between Sienna and Hawke, then you want to (or maybe not) check out one of the Characters marrying a 13 year old girl, had to keep reminding myself that this is a Fantasy novel based on an Island set in medieval times much like England back then..Also prior to this on a recommendation from someone on this page finished 'Beg for Mercy' by Jami Alden, and looking forward to the next in the series..
