I'm reading the Darkest Whisper by Gena Showalter (love, love, LOVE those Lords of the Underworld!) and next up is #2 in the Darkyn series, Private Demon by Lynn Viehl.

Happy Reading, everyone!

I read the whole book yesterday. Have finished all of my books in my tbr pile that I had. I can't read any of the books that we are buying between now and Christmas as they are all presents. Luckily my sister in law keeps me in books. Will be reading all her Lisa Kleypas books.

I will be posting my review of Black Hills tomorrow

Penny I just read both of those books, very good reads.

I'm reading JoAnn Ross' High Risk series...I'm on the second one. Besides paranormal, I'm into Romantice suspense, especially special ops/black ops ones.

I cannot wait until Blaze of Memory gets here...wooot!

I finished Gail Carriger's Soulless, which I loved. I went and immediately reread it, which I don't often do. Right now I'm finishing up an old library copy of Anne Carroll Moore's My Roads to Childhood (collection of essays and reviews on children's books in the 1920s and 1930s). I find it fascinating. Next I think I'll be reading Beyond Heaving Bosoms: The Smart Bitches' Guide to Romance Novels. There's also some reading for school I need to do....

I'm not reading this week since I'm on vacation and trying to get some cooking and baking done for Xmas and then a short visit for the next three days; but I do have lots of books in my tbr pile.

I'm reading the new Scarpetta novel by Patricia Cornwell. So far, so good-- and anxiously awaiting the release of Tempted by P.C. and KrIstin Cast and Bed of Roses by Nora this coming Tuesday.

Btw, I liked Black HIlls. It took me a little while to get into this one (which is odd for me with a Nora book) but once it finally hooked me it was very good).

I'm re-reading C.L. Wilson's tairen/fae (I'm not sure what it's called) series in anticipation of the October 27th release of her new book. I love this series and I've been waiting for this book, so I guess that'll answer what I'll be reading or talking about for next week's book club.

I loved Can't Stand the Heat by Louisa Edwards, it's a debut contemporary and I can't wait for the next one to come out.

Not able to read as much lately due to work obligations, but the top reads:
Doubleblind by Ann Aguirre
On the Edge by Ilona Andrews
As You Are by Ethan Day
Love Like Ghosts by Ally Blue
Re-read Hard Fall by James Buchanan

I read the Duology w/ Gena Showalter & Kresley Cole. I'm currently reading...I can't say. It comes out next year, it's an author who's been on a long hiatus and it's historical. Is that enough clues? lol

Going away tomorrow after work for the weekend. I admit, I'm definitely looking forward to it.

I just finished Keturah and Lord Death by Martine Leavitt, a YA fantasy about a girl who gets lost in the woods and meets Lord Death. I really enjoyed it and thought the writing was lovely.

I'm over halfway through reading The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie (Jennifer Ashley). It's the first romance book I've read for a while and I'm really enjoying it! After that I'll be reading some manga and then starting Heir to Sevenwaters :)

Happy reading and a lovely weekend everyone!

Yesterday I finshed Angel's Blood and loved it. Can't wait for Archangel's Kiss because Elena and Raphael are amazing. Right now I am reading Ash by Malindo Lo.

I've just finished Alyssa Day's Atlantis Unleashed, and now I'm re-reading Dark Moon Defender by Sharon Shinn. I'm going on holiday soon and I want to save the books I haven't read for when I'm away, so I'm marching through a load of re-reads in the meantime!

p.s. it was great meeting you in Derby on the 9th of October. Totally unexpected, but fantastic! :-)

I will probably finish Branded by Fire tonight. This weekend I will probably start Demon Forged by Meljean Brook or Shadowlight by Lynn Viehl. Also need to do a re-read of Twilight and New Moon in prep for the movie premiere. So many books and so little reading time!

I'm reading one book at home, Iris Johansens' One Touch of Topaz (probably will finish it this weekend) and one for when I'm traveling to my work. That's the book by Stephen Fry about his traveling with a black cab in America. I've seen the series and really liked them. The book is also fantastic, I can really recommend it.

Re-reading the Freedom series by Anne McCaffrey.

Freedom's Landing
Freedom's Choice
Freedom's Challenge
Freedom's Ransom

I'm on #3 now. I love these books. I read them at least once or twice a year.

Hey Merry! Nice to see you. :-)

Starmmie - I love Anne McCaffrey, too.

And did someone mention JD Robb? I can't wait for the next one!!

I am reading JR Ward's Lover Avenged. I was a little if-ish going in because I felt the last few books in the BDB series were the worse, but so far, I am enjoying LA. Otherwise, it is all academic books for me and the class I am teaching.

Penny-- the Lords series is simply fantastic!! Darkest Pleasure is my absolute fave in the series so far (I *adore* Reyes!)

This weekend I`ll try to study a little, and maybe re-read Jayne Castle first 3 books in her Harmony series :)

Have a great weekend, and happy reading :)

I picked up a copy of C.L. Wilson's Queen of Song and Souls this weekend so I'm currently re-reading the entire Tairen series:

Lord of the Fading Lands
Lady of Light and Shadows
King of Sword and Sky

Love this series and am glad to know there's to be at least two more books!!!

I reread Father Mine, the novella in JR Ward's Insider's Guite ot the BDB. I just love Zsadist.

I'm reading various things, biding my time until I can buy Blaze of Memory and have Kindred In Death delivered to my doorstep. The preorder price I found was ridiculous--$9 for a hardcover that normally sells for thee times that? I'm not passing that up! Several online places were doing that. Works for me. :)

Late posting. This last week, I read Deep Kiss of Winter by Kresley Cole and Gena Showalter. Enjoyed it!

Also read and had totally loved, It Had to be You and This Heart of Mine by Susan Elizabeth Phillips. These two books made me laugh -- I wanted to smack the heroes while falling in love with them at the same time. SEP can do that. :)

Also read A Little Light Magic by Joy Nash, another contemporary romance. Didn't enjoy that one quite as much.

Hope you enjoyed Black Hills, Nalini. I certainly did. :)
