I read a summer merman romance (The Man of the Lake) by Alessa Winters and liked it a lot. It is a beautifully written love story about two people who meet every summer; and yet they don't. Loneliness takes on a whole different meaning for Lemuel here. People hardly turn their backs on him and in that moment they have already forgotten him. How strange must it be when suddenly there's someone who remembers him? Someone who cares? - I really liked this idea. Also, the plot is well balanced and the ending is a bit different than the usual HEA novels. Brianna's analytical explorer brain also provides a few laughs at times; which is very refreshing.
Steelflower, by Lilith Saintcrow. It’s a fantasy action novel with a female elf mercenary, filled with intrigue, danger and a dash of soulmate romance. It’s such an enjoyable read!
