It was time to re-read Jayne Castle's St. Helen's trilogy (Amaryllis, Orchid and Zinnia). Then on to her Harmony books. I suspect that a Guild Hunter series re-read is in my future :=)
I've been reading a number of older print books in an effort to completely finish my print TBR pile. While there were parts I enjoyed of each book, overall they've mostly been a miss.
On the digital side, I enjoyed Beverly Jenkins' Sexy/Dangerous (Blake Sisters #1). I hadn't read any of her contemporary romances previously. This was a fun action/adventure story.
I also liked the Technomancer "excerpt" Ilona Andrews posted in their trunk stories. The hero was a jerk, but I liked the heroine and the set-up. Sad it will never be completed.
I have been mostly reading and browsing cookbooks, none of which I loved! This is in an effort to clear out some bookshelves. I have made inroads also on my TBR pile, but nothing worth recommending at this point. I have been enjoying a re-read of Feehan's Shadow Keeper, since I bought a copy, I originally read a library copy.
I also see a Guild Hunter re-read in my future as well as several other re-reads with new books coming out by Lora Leigh in her Breeds series, Feehan in her Dark series, Lynsay Sands vampire series and a new J.D. Robb mystery all coming out in September. I won't do a full series re-read in any of these, but probably will re-read at least a book or two before the new ones come out.

Since it is very hot now in the midwestern U.S. it is a good time to be reading for me. I do not like very hot weather.
Doing a lot of re-reading in anticipation of new books coming out next month.
Also, to anyone who watches rugby: congratulations to the All Blacks (both mens and womens teams) for winning the Rugby Sevens World Cup. I was able to watch as many of the games as possible since they were played in San Francisco. π
Hmmm...Rugby in a psy-changeling book? Something to think about.
