The Magic by Donna Augustine, which is Book 4 of the series beginning with The Wild, and I loved it. The world building is really interesting, the heroine is smart, confident, brave, and funny, and there's a slow building romance over the series. Everything wraps up nicely in this book, so I suspect it's the final one.

Enjoyed Julie Miller's Kansas City Countdown (The Precinct #32).
I also enjoyed Jill Shalvis' One Snowy Night (Heartbreaker Bay #2.5) though I really wish it had been longer.
