Cover Love: Slave to Sensation

Look at this awesome, awesome cover!! I LOVE it!! Slave to Sensation will be re-released mid next year with this brand new cover. I'm not sure exactly when the new cover will start shipping, but I'll let you know once I do!

I have and will always have a soft spot for my purple guy (from the original cover) - he was my first ever paranormal cover and I will always love him, but look at those eyes above, that primal intensity. So very, very alpha of the pack. Pure dangerous gorgeousness! (I now have to go swoon in bliss after all the cover goodness in the past week).

For those of you who haven't yet read Slave to Sensation, here's the blurb. You can find an excerpt on my website, as well as the original (and current) cover.
Slave to Sensation
Nalini Singh
Dive into a world torn apart by a powerful race with phenomenal powers of the mind—and none of the heart…

In a world that denies emotions, where the ruling Psy punish any sign of desire, Sascha Duncan must conceal the feelings that brand her as flawed. To reveal them would be to sentence herself to the horror of “rehabilitation”— the complete psychic erasure of everything she ever was….

Both human and animal, Lucas Hunter is a Changeling hungry for the very sensations the Psy disdain. After centuries of uneasy co-existence, these two races are now on the verge of war over the brutal murders of several Changeling women. Lucas is determined to find the Psy killer who butchered his packmate, and Sascha is his ticket into their closely guarded society. But he soon discovers that this ice-cold Psy is very capable of passion—and that the animal in him is fascinated by her. Caught between their conflicting worlds, Lucas and Sascha must remain bound to their identities—or sacrifice everything for a taste of darkest temptation…

I never would have guessed an earlier book (single title) getting a new cover.

It's a nice cover, but not quite how I picture Lucas in my head.

Really nice cover! If I hadn't read this book already (like the 30 times I have read it) this would influence me to buy it.

:-)

As well as library addict I was surprised to see it as a new cover for an earlier book.

Will your other old books be getting new covers? I love this one and think the tone of it is much more suited for the Psy-Changeling series.

I have a soft spot for purple guy as well, but new one is not too shabby either... :D
But my favorite thing about new cover is that Lucas's Hunter marks are visible. :)

This is a beauty, for sure. Will Slave to Sensation be re-released in hardcover, or paperback? Because if it is hardcover, you just made my day (but I will be buying the new one again either way).

Well damn! I knew I was going to love it after those hints you gave over the weekend, but now I simply HAVE to purchase this book again to get the new cover... Okay, I'm not really complaining because StS is only, like, one of my MOST FAVORITE books EVER so it only makes sense to have a spare edition tucked away :) Spectacular job, art department!!!!

Sorry, I still think the old Lucas (purple cover) is the "real" Lucas. I didn't mind the purple cover, though I like the background and colour of this one, too. I just can't picture the new model as Lucas. Plus, his eyes look more gold than green, and his hair is too mullet-y...if only they would swap the models...them it would be perfect! :)

I loved the purple cover (i have a weakness for purple) and sadly this one doesnt look right. I think its the model used - switch models with the purple cover and you've got it.

Nice cover!

Btw, the cover for "Shield of Winter" was simply perfect. *Very* sexy. So glad you avoided the pumped-up-on-steroids look. Sleek, powerful and lethal feels so right for the Psy-Changelings.

To answer a couple of Qs:
- this will be a paperback release
- posters: I'm sure we can do some for giveaways.

I just can't picture the model as Lucas Hunter. I really love the purple cover, though.
