While I lived in Japan, I once got to help make udon noodles. Here's a pic from that day. (Makes me miss my quiet little town with its tea plantations and rice fields). :-)

Udon was one my favorite meals when visiting my parents when they were in Japan. Twelve years since they retired and my grown son and I still hit the Asian markets to pick up Udon.
