It's Book Club time!
I read my first Dorothy Koomson book this week. The Woman He Loved Before is difficult to categorize, but I'd call it dark women's fiction, with a compelling mystery. Even though I knew from the start of this book that something bad was going to happen to/be revealed about the characters, I couldn't put it down.
Here's the blurb from the author's website (where you can also read the first chapter):
Karen at Karen Knows Best did a great review of this book on her blog, so check it out. The excerpt she quoted from Eve's letter was what originally hooked me.She’s out of his life, but is she out of his heart?
Libby has a nice life with a great job, a gorgeous husband and a big home by the sea. But she’s becoming more unsure of Jack’s feelings for her – and if he is over the mysterious death of Eve, his first wife.
When fate intervenes in their relationship, Libby decides to find out all she can about the man she hastily married and the seemingly perfect Eve.
Eventually Libby stumbles across some startling truths about Eve. As she begins to unearth more and more devastating secrets, Libby becomes frightened that she too will end up like the first woman Jack loved. . .
Tense and moving The Woman He Loved Before explores if the love you want is always the love you need – or deserve.
Your turn - what are you reading and loving this week?

I read Jennifer Ashley`s The Many Sins of Lord Cameron. Loved it!
I've read The Heir & The Solider, both by Grace Burrowes and they are both FANTASTIC reads! I have another author to put on my list of read over & over.
I'm sorry Nalini, but that book doesnt sound like my cup of tea. I like stuff that cheers me up (like your books). If I want to depress myself I just look at my own life! I'm currently re-reading Ritual in Death by J.D Robb. I can never get enough of Roarke and Eve.
I just finished The Ideal Mam by Julie Garwood! Great!
Vonna Harper's Taming the Cougar. So hot I almost dropped the book. Yay for shapeshifter romances.
Well, I´m re-reading Archangel´s Consort for the thousandth time....it´s my second evening at Ireland (and I´ll "have to" stay for a year) and I´m being really homesick right now so reading books I love really helps me with getting over it =), so thanks Nalini for providing them for me, especially since my parents have already send all your books on the way to me so that I´ll be able to feel at home here, soon =D
I'm just about half way reading The Violets Of March by Sarah Jio. I can't put it down, it's that enthralling. Keeps me busy, when I do have to put it down, trying to figure out who is really who in the story within the story.
I read 'Masques' and 'Wolfsbane' from Patricia Briggs. I really love her Mercy Thompson books, so I decided, I wanted to read her former books, too.
'Wolfsbane' is her first book and I liked it. What I missed a bit, were more detailed descriptions of the feelings of the main characters (especially for each other - yeah, I'm a romance fan :-). But besides that, the two books were really fun to read. (so mutch fun that I bought all her other early books - seven in number - quite some stuff to read for the next days :-)
I just finished Right Hand Magic by Nancy A. Collins and am halfway through Phantom Evil by Heather Graham. Both are easy reads but I'm not adding them to my favorite author list just yet. I tried reading The Neighbors Are Watching by Debra Ginsberg but there is nothing supernatural about it and I found it a bit too normal for me. :)
I'm rereading the whole Psy-Changeling series, cuz I've been discussing .. hahaha.... Kaleb & the Ghost!!
Then I read your post.." The book will feature Adria and Riaz. The Arrows will also play a strong role, as will Councilor Kaleb Krychek. "
*BOWS LOW TO NALINI*
You've made my DAY!!!
Thank you. <3
BTW:
I've also pimped the Psy-Changeling Series
successfully to a couple of friends!!!
Now I have more people to talk KALEB with!! Yeah!!
I've been trying to get that book for so long now. I have read and own almost all of Dorothy Koomson's work with the exception of two novels. I pass My Best Friend's Girl around like halloween candy. I have 2 copies of that book. If you haven't read it, read it. I'll even mail it to you.
So jealous.
I'm reading Mind Games by Carolyn Crane. Got a taste of her writing in the Wild & Steamy anthology with Meljean Brook. So good! She totally deserves more word of mouth. Really!
Just about to start Shadows Return (Lynn Flewelling)!
