Friday Book Club

It's time to talk all about the books you've been reading and loving this week!

I read Anna Campbell's Captive of Sin, and thought it was absolutely fantastic! Gideon is just such a wonderful hero, and his character is so beautifully drawn. I'm really hoping Gideon's friend Akash gets a story, too.

If you want to check out an excerpt, here's a link to Anna's site, and Anna did a guest blog here about COS as well.

Okay, your turn!

Ooh goodie! I just ordered this book today!

I've been reading historical romances like crazy lately (while I'm waiting on paranormals to come out). I discovered two 'new' authors and have been buying everything I can find by them.

So, right now I'm reading 'Something Sinful' by Suzanne Enoch. I'm loving this author's stories. They're fresh and funny.

Another new favorite author is Anne Gracie. Her books, 'The Perfect Rake' and 'The Perfect Stranger' were fabulous! Loved them and I highly recommend them.

Wow, Nalini, what a lovely surprise! Thank you for that wonderful wrap for COS. Watch this space for Akash's story. Well, perhaps not THIS space! Hey, why not? If I do Akash's story, I promise you'll be the first to know! Seriously, so happy you loved COS!

Danica, Suzanne Enoch and Anne Gracie are both fantastic. Another couple of historical authors I always enjoy are Liz Carlyle, Madeline Hunter and Christine Wells. Can't go wrong with any of them, IMHO!

Brooke, happy reading! ;-)

Doing a re-read of the Chesapeake Bay series by Nora Roberts. Sea Swept was the very first romance I read. I love this series! It just makes me feel all warm inside :)

Right now reading Ethan's story. I was craving Ethan before Cam ;)

I've been reading (and just finished) the Kate Daniel's series by Ilona Andrews. I discovered this series from reading Must Love Hellhounds (the novella in Hellhounds is the 4th story in the series, with 3 books coming first). I have to say that the series is absolutely amazing!! I think it is my favorite "Urban Fantasy" series (not Paranormal Romance). The first book is Magic Bites. My favorite so far is the third book, Magic Strikes. I recommend them to anyone who enjoys the fantasy genre!

I will second the Kate Daniels series by Ilona Andrews... :)

Bit of a mix for my reading tastes currently - most recent: Lorraine Heath, Gaelen Foley, Susan Elizabeth Phillips, Lynn Kurland, Victoria Dahl, Linda Winstead Jones, and Elisabeth Naughton. Just to name a few!

Read the new Kiss book by Lilith Saint Crow. Kind of going thru a slump. I work retail, it's almost Christmas...I'm sure you can see where I'm going with this. lol

In other news, almost done with Christmas cards...on time even. Presents are halfway done. Busy, busy, busy! Argh!!!

This weekend I'm finally going to read CL Wilson's Queen of Song and Souls - I love the Tairen Soul series. I was still in the queue to borrow the book from my local library when I saw the eBook version available at Books On Board, so now I get to read it sooner than I had expected.

I also managed to get the majority of my Christmas shopping done yesterday; now I just need to finish my Christmas cards and start woking on a family member's cards and presents!

@ Twimom227 and patterson1219 - Have you also read On the Edge by Ilona Andrews? A recommended read if you have not picked it up yet!

Currently reading & enjoying: MATING GAME by Janice Maynard.

I love a good historical in between paranormals. The Cynsters are old favorites. Always love reading a new author.

I'm going thru a reading 'block' I guess you could say. I have tons of books to read, just not the desire to read them. Maybe because I'm saving all my engery and attention for Kiss of Snow......yeah that's it. Saying that I felt the need to re-read Kelley Armstrong Exit Strategy which is a very good read.

I'm not a historic romance con of girl, but maybe a need something new to get out of reading block.

Thanks for making the contest international Nalini :)
