I'm working on a novella this week, so I thought we'd talk about some good novellas that we've read recently. I've heard great things about the On The Prowl anthology so that's definitely on my to-read list.
Any other recs?

I really enjoyed the Love at First Bite anthology (Sherrilyn Kenyon, LA Banks, Susan Squires and Ronda Thompson). I haven't read any of LA Banks books, but I really like the two short stories I've read from her on her vampire huntress guardians. And really who doesn't like a good Dracula story!
I also have On the Prowl on my list of to read. Please let me know what you think of it, so I'll know whether or not to move it up on my list.
Aside from An Enchanted Season, you mean? LOL I read Eternity In Death by JD Robb in the Dead of Night antho. I'm a huge fan of Eve and Roarke (okay, well, mostly Roarke and his fine Irish a$$) and this was a nice little warm-up to Creation In Death, which released a week later.
Aymless - I'm really looking fwd to the Patricia Briggs and Eileen Wilks stories in that in particular. Love their series.
Courtney - smooches! :) And my jealousy knows NO bounds! I got Dead of Night today so that's going to be my treat after I finish work on this novella. But I haven't yet got Creation in Death. Me want!
A couple of great anthologies in my opinion are: "Man of My Dreams" by Sherrilyn Kenyon, Maggie Shayne, Suzanne Forster and Virginia Kantra. "Dates From Hell" by Kim Harrison, Lynsay Sands, Kelley Armstrong and Lori Handeland. And "My Big Fat Supernatural Wedding" by Sherrilyn Kenyon, Charlaine Harris, L. A. Banks, Jim Butcher, Rachel Caine, Esther M. Friesner, Lori Handeland, Susan Krinard and P. N. Elrod.
I love the On the Prowl anthology. Patricia Briggs' story is the best one, but Eileen Wilks and Karen Chance's stories are also good. I don't recommend Sunny's story, but then I don't read her books. I haven't liked the couple of stories I've read in anthologies so I never picked up her books. Anthologies are a great way to discover new authors! I love Christine Feehan's novellas, and Angela Knight's novellas. And yes, I pick up anything by Nora Roberts/J.D. Robb.... Other authors tend to be more hit-or-miss. It seems like people have a hard time really doing a good complete short story without it feeling like a barebones outline for a novel. Sigh...
I recently received this book in the mail from Karen Chance and she signed it for me! I have it on my TBR pile waiting for the chance to read. I love anthologies and I'm looking forward to the read.

Other than An Enchanted Season, I haven't really read novellas of late.
Some of my favorites are:
- Playing Easy To Get antho (with Sherrilyn Kenyon's BAD story and Kresley Cole's first Immortals After Dark story)
- Hot Blooded antho (with Angela Knight's Seduction's Gift)
- Gifts of Love antho (with Christmastime historical novellas from Lisa Kleypas and Kay Hooper)
- Love at First Bite antho (love Kenyon's Dark Hunter story in there)
- Hot Spell antho (with Lora Leigh's The Breed Next Door and Meljean Brook's Falling for Anthony)
- Where's My Hero antho (with fantastic stories from Lisa Kleypas, Kinley MacGregor, and Julia Quinn)
- Honk if You Love Real Men antho (love LL's Reno's Chance)
- Wild Thing antho (with Meljean Brook's Paradise)
I'm sure there's plenty more, but those are the ones off the top of my head :)

Some of my favourite novellas are:
Just Curious by Jude Deveraux in the A Gift if Love anthology
Winter Born by Sherrilyn Kenyon in the Stroke of Midnight anthology
Phantom Lover by Sherrilyn Kenyon in the Midnight Pleasures anthology
Melting Ice by Stephanie Laurens in the Rough Around the Edges anthology
Beat of Temptation by you-know-who in the Enchanted Season anthology
Dark Dream by Christine Feehan in the After Twilight anthology

The Patricia Briggs story in On the Prowl is great. I just read it again last night. It has no sex at all, and it's still the best of the lot.
You should get the Big Guns Out of Uniform anthology and read the Nicole Camden story. She's an amazing writer.
I'm generally not a novella reader, but I love reading the Christmas anthologies.
