We haven't talked about t.v. for a while, and since the new season is starting in New Zealand, I thought we'd go for it today. I'm not watching much at the moment, so share your faves with me and tell me what dvds I need to look out for.
Over this way, the Dresden Files are about to start. Heroes, Season 2 has already begun. Those are two that I'm interested in. Oh and for Joss Whedon fans, he's apparently developing a new series.
What are you guys watching on the box? Any recs? (Also, don't forget to drop by my guest post at Simply Romance Reviews and share your fave first lines - some great ones already up there!)

I really enjoy Chuck. I tcomes on here right before Hereos
Seen a few Dresden files before they took the channel off me :( liked them enough to hunt out the books.
I mostly watch CSI but lately started watching House. Waiting for more Dr Who.
Lots of people pinning for Dollhouse already :)
Am quite enjoying Life starring Brit actor Damian Lewis. And will still try to catch Survivor or Amazing Race for my reality-show kicks. Prison Break is attention-grabbing but it is rather depressing. I prefer 24 but that's not till the new year....
In Australia I'm watching:
South Park (repeats), Dancing with the Stars, Spicks and Specks, The Chaser's War on Everything, The Librarians, Newstopia... and sometimes RocKwiz.
In NZ, is The Dresden Files on free-to-air or cable?
I love watching Heroes! I've also been keeping up with Dancing with the Stars and Moonlight.
Tez - it's free to air on one of the smaller channels.
And I can't believe I didn't mention America's Next Top Model. I'm addicted to that show!
My favourite tv series is Bones. I also love Heroes, 4400, Dexter, Grey´s Anatomy, and yes, my guilty pleasure is America's Next Top Model :)
hi nalini, ATM here in Oz i'm enjoying Bones, Heroes, Bionic Woman, Stargate - SG1, the Chaser's War on Everything, The Librarians, as well as doco series on foxtel man vs wild, miami ink, la ink, american chopper, deadliest catch (though i don't get to watch these everyweek). Sheesh that's alot.
I like Chuck, too, Suzette. It reminds me a lot of Jake 2.0, if your remember that one. They yanked it way too soon. I hate it when they get me hooked on a show and then pull it.
And, of course, Heroes remains my very favorite. It's great to be able to sit down on Monday nights and watch Chuck and Heroes back-to-back.
I was telling a co-worker yesterday that if this writer's strike they've got going on over here affects my Heroes, I'm going to be majorly ticked off. Majorly. I gotta know what happens. Apparently, the last strike lasted months. I sure hope that's not the case this time around. I can't take more news and reality shows. I want my Chuck and Heroes!
We've recently gotten BBC America so I've been enjoying Torchwood and Dr. Who. Heroes is my fav. Moonlight and Blood Ties are good too.
I used to be an avid watcher of Law & Order, till some friends converted me over to reality television. This fall, the U.S. version of Dancing with the Stars is the only show I'm watching.
I'd love to get Digital TV, just so I can watch BBC America, esp. yummilicious Richard Armitage on Robin Hood.
Nalini, your newest book reminds me a lot about this dress.
Oooh, pretty.
Some of the shows I've been watching are: Desperate Housewives, Dirty Sexy Money, Pushing Daisies, and Dancing with the Stars.
Jennifer K. - Many shows are gonna be effected. Daytime/primtime/late night... you name it. To look at some of the WGA members as well as their shows that'll get effected, go here: http://www.thefutoncritic.com/guide.aspx?id=strike_scripted
As for Heroes, it's gonna be effected. I heard they originally had 13-14 episodes written, but with this strike, they're gonna reshoot episode 11 as their season finale just in case. And as for the spinoff, Heroes: Origins, that idea has been pulled because of the strike.
Boo... the link I posted got cut off. I'll try it a little shorter. Click here:

I am completely addicted to Blood Ties on Lifetime....Henry is incredibly sexy. I also love Bones and Numbers, I just have a thing for brainiacs.
My daughter liked Chuck from the start, but I have to admit that had to grow on me, but I enjoy it now.
It was the same with Moonlight - I didn't enjoy the first episode at all, and had to be talked into giving it another try, but it has really improved and I find myself liking it, too.
On the other hand, I liked Life and Pushing Daisies right from the start and added them to my must-watch list of Bones & House.
My most favorite show is finally going to be aired in repeats starting this Friday, 11/16 and I can't wait!! The Dresden Files is excellent and Friday can't come fast enough!! Did you know that the series just won the TV on DVD Award for Best One-Season Wonder?! We're having a virtual Sit-In while it airs to show the execs how much we want it back, too. :) Hey, why don't you come by?
