A couple of fantastic reviews for Archangel's Consort came in this morning (follow the links to read the full reviews):
...oh Raphael. One of the most intense alphas I have ever read about. There is no cracking jokes there is no goofing off. He is alpha, he is archangel, and he means business. In and out of bed. Oh yes

Ms. Singh's world is one of spectacular fantasy and toe-curling romance where the thoughts, feelings, and weaknesses that make us so very human are highlighted against the fascinating backdrop of the cool indifference that accompanies immortality.

Only a few days before Archangel's Consort releases. I can't wait! Here's an extra excerpt to make the countdown go faster:
From Archangel's Consort

Unlike Illium, who even with his remarkable wings and eyes of gold, managed to walk among mortals, Aodhan would never fit easily into this world. He was cut in sparkling ice, his wings so bright as to almost hurt human eyes, his face, his skin seeming to be created from marble overlaid with white-gold.
Michaela, that devourer of men, had once said of Aodhan, “Beautiful—but so very cold, that one. Still, I would like to keep him as I would a precious gem. There is no other like Aodhan in the world.”
But Michaela saw only the surface.
Raphael walked to the edge of the space that had no railing, running his eyes over his city. “What did you discover?”
Aodhan tightened his wings to avoid any contact as he came to stand on Raphael’s left. “I cannot understand,” he said instead of answering, “how you can live surrounded by so many lives.” A stark curiosity underlay his every word.
“Many cannot understand your preference for solitude.” He watched as a number of angels came in for landings on lower balconies, their wings silhouetted against the night sky. “You surprise me with this visit, Aodhan.” The angel was one of Raphael’s Seven for a reason, but he was also damaged.

I want to hear more about the damaged angel Aodhan, will he have a story too? And Bluebell?
I definitely plan to write more about both Aodhan and Illium.
Thank you for this glimpse - Aodhan definitely intrigues me!! Only 6 more days (if I'm counting right!)!!
Do you know if there will be a NZ ebook release of Archangel's Consort?
Ugh - I can't believe I still have to wait for this book! I've been waiting since last February for more Elena and Raphael and it's been driving me positively BATTY!
I hope there are more Elena-bonding-with-the-Seven moments. She's mated to their boss/master/sire/whatever - surely they (minus Illium) can't hate/be indifferent to her forever. I mean REALLY what does a girl have to do to get a bunch of emotionally damaged, mostly psychotic, battle scarred warriors (who are fanatically loyal to her mate to boot) to like her?!
this definitly peeks my interest cant wait to get my hands on a copy of this!
Thanks for the peek! Every new character you bring in seems like they would make an awesome story all by themselves. I know you can't get to ALL of them, but it's also good to know you'll be getting to SOME of them. Maybe. Lol. I thought I was going to have to wait til just before my b-day to buy Consort but it comes next Tuesday here on the outskirts of Chicago! Yay! Take care :)
Hi Nalini,
When does the eBook for Archangels Consort get released in Australia??
I've been looking to pre-order the eBook but can't find it anywhere!
Thanks!
Sara
Aodhan, Ilium, and Jason all need books!!!! =) They are my favorites of the Seven, in no particular order, & so very intriguing. (I'm glad Dmitri is definitely getting a book too.) But PLEASE give these three books/novellas! I feel so bad for them (even though they aren't real, lol). :-(
oh Aodhan... by the way, what a beautiful name!!! he is so interesting and yet a bit eerie. Totally love Guid Hunter series, totally! thanks for the sneak peak,I wish there would be 10 books of these series written already :D
Woke up yesterday all excited--Archangel's Consort is out. Before I even made it out of bed... Darn, it's out next week!!
Can't wait =)
The spelling of Aodhan's name kinda throws me off. It's like taking simple names like 'Carly' and and turning them into 'Kharlie', lol! But I think the spelling of his name actually ives him more depth-- like spelling it as Aidan would somehow ruin the effect or something! >.<
I am sooo sad that I won't be able to get this book until February! Definitely ordering it from the Book Depo.!
@Kerry & Sara - I've just double-checked with my UK/Aust/NZ publisher and Archangel's Consort should definitely be available as an ebook down under.
However, it looks like there was some kind of a technological glitch, which is why it's not showing up. They're hoping to get it sorted in a week or two so it should hopefully (fingers crossed) show up around the Feb 10th release date.
Overall though, it's good news on the ebook front - all the UK releases will be available in NZ/Aust once these issues have been ironed out.
I am SOOOO excited! I CANNOT wait til next week!
@Alice - According to my research, it's actually an old Gaelic name, with a bit of history behind it, which I thought was important for someone who has been alive a number of centuries.
Plus, it's beautiful. :)
Wonderful news. Thank you for letting us know, Nalini. I'll be checking Whitcoulls come February.
I adore Bluebell!
Please say that we will get a story about Aodhan. :)
I'm staying away from all reviews to avoid spoilers but its getting hard.
Am so excited for this book. :D
Thank you for the excerpt! Looking forward to learning more about the Seven. As for Aodhan, he got my attention from the first time his character was introduced. He must be so lonely.
Why do the last few days seem to be moving sooooo slowly?
I can't wait for this book ,and yey more of the seven :)
Great excerpt, thanks for making more easy to wait these long, long 4 days ;)
PS:Do you know if he's going to get his own book?
Great reviews!
Appears Naasir in AC?
Aodhan is my favourite of the Seven, I so hope he gets his own book :) I can't wait for Archangels Consort...
gah, I'm dying to read this book. I've been waiting 349 days for it so far.
Thanks for the excerpt =)
@Alice: Aodhan isn't Aiden - it is pronounced EH-thahn. You can look up other Celtic name pronunciations (they are difficult) at inogolo.com
@CK not to be pedantic about it or anything (which means I am going to be) but Aodhán isn't pronounced EH-thahn. It's from Aodh (A) the Irish for Hugh, and án (awn)or in this spelling an (an). The án or an makes it the diminutive form, so its a pet name. The name originally comes from for the old Irish name Áedán, which is anglicized as Aidan or Edan.
Anyway, the stories of Aodhán are lovely. I am curious to know which one you are referring to? From the children of Lír? or he who was sentenced to death by drowning for being with the Muigan, the wife of Conchobar Mac Nessa? Sentenced to drown but rescued by Lóegaire who was outraged that a poet would be sentenced to death? Lóegaire was killed in the rescue of him. Two very sad stories.
So very excited about the next book!
Well, heck! I'be been saying his name all wrong in my head. I've been pronouncing all the vowels. So is his name prounounced like Aiden?
@Anna
Don't worry! I've been doing the same thing! From what i could read online, it's to be pronounced like "Aiden" but i could totally be wrong. Maybe Nalini can shed some light on how to say his name? ;D
Absolutely LOVED this excerpt!
Ugh, I'm always late in checking your blog to see if there's a contest that you run or a fellow author with one of your books.
Can't wait for the book! So close now!
Ohhhhhhh! Thank you Nalini!
Yep, like Aidan but with a soft Irish accent :) Ever hear Aidan Quinn say his name? like that!
Only one day to go!!
Can't wait till tomorrow!
Can't wait for it to be released!! Wooohooo!!
I am so excited for the next instalment in this series. I live in South Africa, and while I am able to purchase the US version (paperback), I am precluded from downloading the Kindle version from Amazon.com. I also am unable to download from Amazon.uk. I know the publisher sets the rules dealing with areas of publication, but we usually fall under UK - so whatever is released in the UK, is usually available in SA. Do you know if the arrangement with the publisher in respect of NZ and Australia will extend to South Africa? Also, and I suppose that this is an Amazon issue, but for what its worth, is there a chance that Amazon (be it UK or USA) will allow Kindle downloads of your books. I have just bought a Kindle and would love to have all your books in this format. Once again, love your books and hope to read many more.
I love the fact that you are writing books/novellas on the other characters..i cant wait to read about the mighty Demitri falling in love...
Will there be any more books on Raphael and Elena? You have just captivated me with their story and there is so much depth in their relationship and independent lives to explore....Thanks!!
@Anon (from South Africa) - you should be able to get the UK editions on Kindle. The release date was Feb 10th. Let me know if the download still isn't working for you and I'll pass the information on.
@Anon - yes, Raphael and Elena will take center state again in a future book. :)
Hi, having probs downloading the audio book! Its not on audible.co.uk, but it is showing up on audible.com, and it says it's restricted for my area so can't get it from there (I'm in The UK)
Soooo annoying! I need my angel fix! Ha!
Any ideas when that will be sorted?
Thanks!
@Anon - the UK and US audio book publishers are different companies. I don't think the UK edition is out yet. Hopefully soon!
