Good News & Procrastination

Let's start of the day with some good news.

First - Rosario did a great review for Awaken to Pleasure. :-)

Second, Harlequin Japan just forwarded me the results of a reader poll for books published in the first half of 2006, and guess what's #3 on the list for Best Book? Craving Beauty! But wait, I have to tell you who #1 & 2 & 4 are so you'll truly get my excitement.

1. Diana Palmer
2. Beverly Barton
3. Me! Me!
4. Sharon Sala

I cannot believe the company I'm in. So a big shout out to my Japanese readers - you guys rock!

Okay, enough of the manic excitement. Today let's talk about procrastination. I love writing too much to procrastinate overly about it. But what I do procrastinate about is the business-side of things. Getting correspondence written & answered, things like that. As a result, the first thing I'm going to do when I become a bazillionairre is hire a personal assistant.

What do you procrastinate about? And on a tangent - what would you get/who would you hire if you became a bazillionairre?

Well, I have to agree with the readers in Japan. I have enjoyed books by each of these authors. I have about 95% of Diana Palmer's books, 50% of Beverly Barton's, 100% of yours, and several of Sharon Sala's. I'm waiting anxiously for Slave to Sensation!

Nalini, WOW! No wonder you're excited.

Procrastination.....I'm up there with the best of them. It comes with having a 20 second attention span.

The day I become a bazillionairre I'll hire a personal trainer, personal stylist, manager, publicist, interior decorator, housekeeper, throw out everything in my wardrobe (apart from what I'm wearing at the time) and go out with my personal shopper, travel, buy a wonderful house overlooking the sea........... I'm stopping now so I can rush out to get a lottery ticket.... I'm feeling lucky

Congrats on your #3!!

Hmm. I procrastinate when I get a freelance design job...I push that sucker off a lot. Why? Probably b/c being creative all the time just fries my brain and I need that time away from the computer and work to re-charge my batteries.

Thanks, Katie! :)

Sara - Looking forward to celebrating your lottery win with you ;)

Emma - yes, I think it helps that I'm here. I've done promo in the country and Harlequin Japan have really got behind me. I love them! But apparently Japanese readers just like my writing style too - Desert Warrior sold fantastically even before they knew I was in the country. So maybe it's a combination of right place/right time.

p.s. Happy blog reading *g*

Hi Sandie! I totally get what you mean. Sometimes you just need to use the other side of your brain.

Amy, thank you! I have to admit, I have a huge soft spot for Jackson Santorini. :)
