Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro just broke my heart & kept me up all night. I Randomly ran into this haunting story and couldn't put it down. My head was hurting too ~ thinking & thinking about this! Didn't know there was a powerful & captivating 2010 movie!
Coincidentally ~ I just finished rereading Origin In Death by JD Robb & got my heart broken here too! Unknowingly read stories about CLONES back to back! Still choking up!
Murder in Admonishment by Anne Cleeland was another amazing mystery ~ #17 in the series! I ended up filling my review of this five-star read with events that hurt me ~ nothing about all the I loved!
Don't feel like I'm making much progress reading anything lately, but I think if I actually added things up, I'd find I'm reading more than I thought. Currenlty discovering the HALO series for the first time. Part way through my second book (mostly randomly selected from those available), and I lucked out finding the series on DVD at my library, so I'm partway into that too. It's actually the trailer for the series that got me interested in the series. I'm starting to think I'll have to read more of the books. (Probably won't play the game though, as I lost interest in video games a few years ago.)
I've also read part of the book Ender's Game and Philosophy: The Logic Gate is Down. Edited by Kevin Decker. So far, the first few essays I've read in it are quite interesting. (Sometimes a little too simplistic, and sometimes they don't take the culture of Earth in that series vs ours, or Plato's, into account, so they seem a little off the mark, but otherwise, quite engaging.)
I read A Memory of Witches by Patricia Briggs. This is a short story within the Instinct: An Animal Rescuers Anthology. It takes place during Storm Cursed.
I also read Conquer the Kingdom by Jennifer Estep. This is the third book of her Gargoyle Queen series. A lot of twists and turns. A very good book to read.
I read this well written short stories: The Dragon`s Valentine by C.D. Gorri The Nymph`s Dark Pleasure by Sakura Black (Loved it!) Revenant by Michella Frost (M/M novel)

My favorite new-to-me read this week was Jeannie Chin's The House on Mulberry Street (Blue Cedar Falls #3).
I'm up to Stroke of Enticement in my complete series reread.
