Just finished Shelly Laurenston's "Hot & Badgered" (1st of a new series) A complete over-the-top romp with comic-book violence and humor. I have to be in a fairly nihilistic mood to enjoy her books as they have no boundaries but boy when I want a triple decker sundae read with a cherry on top she delivers!
Still on my print JAK binge in an effort to finish (since it is my main reading goal for the year). A few were rage inducing, but I enjoyed Trading Secrets written as Jayne Castle and True Colors as Jayne Ann Krentz. Only 4 more books to go.
I may or may not get to a few rereads of her old categories that I have zero memory of reading so was unable to assign a grade to. But my rereading challenge for the year can be for any author, so I'll have to see if I feel burned out on her oldies in a few weeks.
Planning to read the new Shannon Stacey that will be out on Nov 1st this weekend. And there are some other November releases I am looking forward to. The 24th still seems so far away.
Recently discovered Lucy Score- funny lady! Read Worst Best Man and Riley Thorn and the Dead Guy Next Door, they were so good I'm planning to read her Bootleg Springs series.
I currently reading 'Wolf Rain' during a re-read that started with 'Allegiance of Honor'. Not sure what I will be re-reading next. Probably Feehan's Leopards and then the Guild Hunter series. Since I'm retired and mostly staying in I have lots of time to read. But I think I need to add Laurenston's Badger series to my re-read list. I did enjoy its' over the top humor. Since I'm in the U.S. I'm looking for relief from election and health insurance overload. The two have been cramming my mailbox and generating lots of filler in my recycle sack. I've already voted, so the mail is really irritating even more than normal.
Psy Changeling short stories I haven't read before from the website. I knew there was a reason I've been saving them for so long! They're just what I needed! Something comforting and familiar, and yet new. (To me, anyways). Didn't realize how much I needed that until I read Patricia Briggs "Smoke Bitten" a little while ago. Tried a few other options, but wasn't really succeeding until now.
This is just what I needed to recover and recharge after bashing the hell out of a toe the other morning!
Thanks @library addict. It does seem to be recovering remarkably fast. Most of the bruise is gone this morning. It seems I just bruised it really badly. Thankfully, it doesn't seem to be sprained or broken. Still, I got a refresher in how exhausting pain can be. Both physically and emotionally.
I'm jumping ahead and getting myself in a New Year mode. (Go away 2020!)
A Very Highland Christmas 💞a super gorgeous anthology of six short, sweet, and beautifully written novellas by six amazing authors was a prefect early gift to myself. That brutal time period totally broke my heart 💦 & it felt like that cruel era of history had happened only yesterday 💦 Why did I believe it was a perfect read on a joyous season then? Maybe it's helped me believe in the future . . . in us . . . that we could get through the toughest times and hardships . . . that love and compassion and decency and all things good will win . . . We Have to Believe.💖
Just finished reading biik 7 OK Erin r Flynn Artemis serie. Started to re-read the firebird chronicles of t. A. White. Next on my list are the guild hunters serie re-re-.... _again. Loved the snipped of sun. Stay safe.

@Kim, hope your toe is feeling better.
