It's been a while since our last catch up. How are you doing? Any news to share? ❤️

Checked something simple off my To Do List this week that's been on it for over a year. It just kept getting bumped for stuff that was more urgent, but feels good to finally cross it off.

I'm reading, working word and math puzzles and working on de-cluttering. Staying home a lot and spending quite a bit of time on the phone checking on family and friends. I'm lucky that I am retired and don't have the job worries younger folks have.

Libraries are beginning to open for browsing as of today. No appointments have been needed for curbside pickup since the 17th. Tomorrow I'm going to pick up some books on acrylic painting. (got envious watching my young niece paint the other day, - via Facebook messenger - so I'm theoretically going to try to get back into it after 25 years!) Had a couple considerable heat waves in the last month or so. Thankfully this last one was only about 4 days, not 2 weeks like the last one, but still, WAAY too hot! Thankfully it's cooling down again. We should be done with the really hot weather for the year. Another week, the leaves will begin to turn to their fall colours.

Did a little art project that began with a comment from one of my friends at one of my local bookstores, who said something to the effect she thought being different was bad. Figured I should correct that notion! Or at least try. The project morphed into also making items for a friend and her young nieces, and then some to distribute to the little free libraries in my neighbourhood. Many of those have been snatched up so fast, I made some more last night. Now to package them up and distribute. And I've got plenty more supplies to continue with further deliveries if I decide to continue making batches. (though I guess I'll need more printer ink at some point.) Taken a number of inspirational sayings I've found online (with the appropriate attributions, of course) and printed them out and pasted them onto various media for pocket-sized trinkets for people. (well, mostly pocket-sized. I guess the craft sticks are a little long for that.)

Otherwise been catching up on my reading (mostly non-fiction, I think), and doing research for the two books I've started writing. (kid's non-fiction, and adult nonfiction, both psychology oriented) Having never done a kid's book before, this should be ... interesting...

Finally we`ve 14 days of vacation. Due to the corona pandemic, our annual seasons ticket of the Bavarian Palace Administration was extended, so we visited the Neuburg Palace today. - It was nice to get a bit normmality.

Outside of a wildfire evacuation zone for a large wildfire less than 20 miles away. Change filters for my HVAC system(figuring smoke and ash). Lots of reading, not much cooking(cause heatwave), and yardwork.
