Right now with air temperatures in the 100s (F), ice cream in sandwich or in done form.

In cone form. See, the heat is affecting my spelling. 😁

I love cheesecake.

And not a sweet treat, but fresh bread is my downfall.

Yum.

And since it's summer for us, I'll add in fresh fruit, particularly raspberries, plums, peaches, watermelon, and grapefruit.

I keep my pantry stocked with some cinnamon rugelach that I get from Whole Foods. Rich, flaky, with brown sugar, cinnamon and raisins. Yummy. I try to avoid sweets but I can't resist these tiny pastries. I also have rich milk chocolate bars with toffee bits. Sigh. I do mean to be careful but in these times a bit of indulgence helps.

Chocolate chip cookies are my weakness. Also, not sweet, but I love white cheddar popcorn. Can eat a whole bag in one sitting.

Chocolate! In almost any form. Except with citrus or coffee. Those are gross. Also, yes, in summer, berries are pretty irresistible!

Oh, and around here ice cream in winter is common. (and probably in the rest of Canada as well). Often used in celebrations.

Shortbread cookies - especially my fave maple pecan ones from a little bakery back in Vermont (which is still closed last I checked due to this pandemic insanity but I plan to order some to be shipped to me as soon as she's back open). I have no self-control around shortbread...

Fresh Fruit, banana nut bread, sherbet, fruit bars, fruit compotes. I'll add fresh bread to the list as well. Due to health reasons, I'm restricted to low-fat options and have had to give up some of my old favorites, but I'm having fun finding new ways to cope.

Creme brulee and macarons. My husband makes them for me and I just melt every time. He makes both together because it takes 5 egg yolks to make creme brulee, so he uses the leftover egg whites in macarons. I am a very lucky (and spoiled) wife. 😍
