Loved Amanda Quick's Close Up (Burning Cove #4), my favorite of the series of so far. (Thanks again to Berkley for the surprise ARC).
I managed to squeeze in a reread of Amanda Bouchet's Nightchaser just under the wire for Tuesday's release of the sequel. I also loved Starbreaker. I was glad she switched to alternating 1st person POVs as the "Tess in 1st person, Shade in 3rd person" POV structure of book 1 made for some jarring transitions. I still enjoyed it, but the alternating 1st person between them in book two was much smoother. As excited as I am that we will be getting Jocasta and Flynn's book in the return to her Kingmaker Chronicles, I am bummed to hear the third book in the Endeavor series (aka Nightchaser series) will be delayed. But it is one I am highly anticipating whenever it gets here.
So it was a good reading for me. Planning to get back to my complete Psy/Changeling reread with Silver Silence this weekend.
Finished my re-read of Feehan's Shadow series so as to be ready for 'Shadow Flight' and I'm now re-reading Shelly Laurenston's first two Badger books and I finally gave in and bought them and the newest one. I usually wait for the mass market version of most books. But the library isn't open and I decided not to wait. (grin) Luckily my usual bookstore has curbside pickup for online orders and the second book in the series was out in mass market so I splurged and bought all of them. I also want the store to still be there when this is over, so I'm thinking of buying a few more books on my wish/want list.
After I get through these I'll be starting my re-read of the Psy/changeling series. With 'Stay at home' giving me extra time I didn't want to start too soon, as I'm a fairly fast reader and was trying to time it closer than in the past.
Read more of "Oncoming Storm" by Christopher Nuttal, and still loving it. Also read more of DragonWriter edited by Todd McCaffrey. Tribute to Anne McCaffrey and her influence on SF. Quite fascinating.
