Even though I didn't have as much reading time as I'd planned it was another good reading week for me as far as books go.

Enjoyed Rebecca Zanetti's Fallen (Deep Ops #2).

Loved Jessie Mihalik's Aurora Blazing (Consortium Rebellion #2). I want books for all of the von Hasenberg siblings and their friends!

Hoping to start the new Jill Shalvis tonight.

In preparation for the release of A Madness of Sunshine, I read Tess Gerritsen's Die Again. A mystery without romance. It was the very first book by her I picked up. OMG! I loved it so much. Now she's become one of favorite authors. Loved Botswana, Cape Town, as well as Boston! It was actually a sad story for me, because of the leopards and the tour guide who led an authentic safari adventure. But I'm now ready for your debut of a new genre! Can't wait for December 3rd!

Finally picked up 'The Game" by Teresa Toten last night (have had it from the University library for a few weeks already) and got so sucked into it I read it straight through and didn't go to bed until it was finished - after 5 am! Thankfully nothing on today! It's a YA fiction book about trauma and child abuse. Also friendship. The main character wakes up in a psychiatric hospital after an overdose and has to piece together what put her there. She deals with a lot of dissociation, which makes this difficult, but she meets a couple of other patients who become friends and give her the courage and strength to do it.

The author gets everything right as far as I can tell! Though there are some parts I didn't relate to, so I could be wrong on those ones, but the author gives no easy answers or quick fixes, lets difficult family relationships be difficult, has the staff be imperfect, etc. I LOVED it! Oh, it's an older book, from 2001, but well worth it! Now I've got the task of trying to track down a copy for myself!
