I'm still reading Elizabeth Hunter's A Hidden Fire and the poetry book The Gold Cell by Sharon Olds. And now I've started the Dreamer's Pool by Juliet Marillier and Gabriel's Ghost by Linnea Sinclair. Because apparently I have attention issues when it comes to sticking with one book....

Oh and I'm listening to the audiobook of Heart of Obsidian by Nalini Singh. You may have heard of her. ;)

I just read the very short part of Sweep of the Blade on Ilona Andrews website. It's a cliffhanger this week.

Reading Happily Ever After by Nora Roberts. This is book four in her Bride Quartet series.

One of my reading goals this year is to catch up on series languishing in my TBR where I have already read the first book or first few books.

I had a ton of issues with the first half of Dee Tenorio's Love Me Tomorrow (Rancho Del Cielo #2) and the hero. But thankfully the book really turned around in the second half and I enjoyed it.

Currently I'm reading Kylie Brant's Deadly Dreams which is the fifth book in her Mindhunters series. I can't believe I read the previous book in the series back in 2010! Where does the time go?

I just finished the first book in the Spellcrackers.com series by Suzanne McLeod, The Sweet Scent of Blood.
A little on the fence about it, but it's caught my interest enough that I've got the second book from the library.
It's about a Sidhe Fae who works for a Witch-run company 'cracking' spells who gets pulled into investigating the accidental manslaughter of a young woman by her Vampire boyfriend.
Queue political minefields and of course dangerous situations, I liked the plot and there were enough twists that I hadn't worked out who the bad guys were until just before the reveal.

I've also picked up Jack Heath's Hangman on the recommendation of my local bookstore. You know it's going to be a good read when they are that excited about it!! All they would tell me is that the main character is brought in to help the FBI solve the unsolvable (think The Mentalist); he has one MAJOR character flaw (I'm thinking maybe a Dexter-type flaw??) but despite that seems to be the only one with a moral code...the 'good' bad guy or 'bad' good guy??
I bought it and ran - now just waiting for the weekend so I won't have to put it down.
