I read the remaining books in Jeffe Kennedy's The Twelve Kingdom's series: The Tears of the Rose (#2), The Talon of the Hawk (#3), Heart's Blood (#3.5), and The Crown of the Queen (#3.7). Enjoyed them all with The Talon of the Hawk being my favorite book of the series. Also enjoyed The Pages of the Mind, the first book in the spin-off series, The Uncharted Realms. There are a few spots where the timeline is confusing, but overall I would recommend this series to fantasy romance fans.
I also liked Shannon Stacey's new Christmas novella, Hold Her Again.
Re-reading Guild hunter series ... so I can re-read Venom's story in context (again !).
At Archangel's Legion right now after finishing Jason's story ! :) Happy Days ....
Which brings me to a thought - if the archangels' deign to speak you - you may write short stories on what phenomenon happened in the world when they ascended ! We already know what happened when Raphael ascended. We know how Elijah ascended (but not what happened in the world when he did). It would be good to know about the rest of the Cadre too ! :)
In fact given Caliane is two hundred and fifty thousand years old (give or take hundred thousand years ! ;) ) it would be interesting to know ... especially since she has THE VOICE !! :)
Which reminds me of the 2nd persistent thought I had when re-reading the series - it would be good to know more about how Raphael met each and every one of his seven. We know a little bit but perhaps a bit more ?
And then will the angel rescued in Archangel's Blade feature in the future ? (I like the rhyming ! :) ) Plus forgot her name - Lijuan's niece - the architect ?
Just bought Lois McMaster Bujold's newest Penric novella, THE PRISONER OF LIMNOS, for my Kindle so my weekend reading is delightfully taken care of. We are supposed to have heavy rain and wind on Sunday so I can snuggle down and let it pour. Note to self: make sure the kindle is fully charged.
Please allow me to throw my total support to Anon's persistent thoughts above! Especially the one on how ♡ Raphael met his Seven ♡ Please please please . . . Back to my new series for this Friday ➡ Bayou Born by Hailley Edwards. Such a fantastic world! I'm hoping for another amazing series. Hoping I'll be blown away again just like how I felt about her Aracneae Nation series.
