I really enjoyed Julie James' The Thing About Love (FBI/US Attorney #7). Well worth the long wait after her previous book.

Currently rereading Kiss of Snow in my complete chronological Psy/Changeling series reread and just finished rereading the bonus deleted scene from December's newseltter with Nathan & Hawke (which I love).

Only 54 days to go (or 56 depending upon which side of the pond) until Silver Silence #TeamStarlightandHerTeddyBear! So close and yet still so far!

I finished Warrior Wench by Marie Andreas. It's her first science fiction, and I quite enjoyed it.

I'm reading the "Eclipse Bay" trilogy from Jayne Ann Krentz.
I haven't read any of her book before.
But her books have frequently been recommended here and by Ilona Andrews as well.
I'm not usually in the contempory romance genre but I like the book so far.
I don't know which one of her other books I should read after this trilogy.

She writes contemporay as Jayne Ann Krentz, historicals as Amanda Quick, and futuristics as Jayne Castle.

Of her more recent work, stuff labeled as Arcane Society has paranormal elements. Her Jayne Castle titles are set on other planets. Most of her Amanda Quick titles are Regency, but the new book coming out next month is set in 1930s Hollywood.

For historicals, I love most all of her one word titles (with Scandal, Ravished, and Deception topping the list). For contemporary stand-alones my favorites are Trust Me, Falling Awake, Wildest Hearts, and Absolutely, Positively. Her most recent works have gone back to her romantic suspense roots with books like When All the Girls Have Gone and Secret Sisters.

Her Psynergy trilogy (Amaryllis, Zinnia, and Orchid) is a good introduction to her futuristics (though to be fair, I didn't care for book 3).

Otherwise most of her Arcanae books would work as stand-alones. It's a long series and for a time spanned all three of her pennames. I know not everyone liked the series, but I loved it and count many of them among my favorites.

Just FYI, she also wrote category romance in the 80's/early 90s as Jayne Bentley, Jayne Taylor, Jayne Castle (Candlelight Ecstasy), Stephanie James (Silhoutte), and JAK (Harlequin Temptation). Though I have some real favorotes among them, not all of her older works have stood the test of time so keep an eye out for those that are reissues. But basically everything since 1992 as JAK has been single title. All of her AQ titles have been as well. Her Jayne Castle titles have been futuristic since 1996.

You got me going on Lisa Kleypas, so I've read the 3 Ravanel books in the last week. Like others who responded to your post about her last book I had burned out on historicals, but seem to rebooted. So now the question is do I continue with another of her series, but I also have Jay Crownover's Retreat lined up. Decisions, decisions...

Library Addict,
Thank you for your comments.
As I'm not so fond of Historicals, I'll try the psynergy trilogy and then the Arcane series.

LibraryAddict explained JAK very well. I am a big fan of her Arcane under any of the three pen names. But really love Jayne Castle Harmony (futuristic/ offworld) books. Just finished a reread in fact while waiting for new books from my favourite authors - Nalini, Ilona, J.D.
I am now working on a complete reread of Psy/Changeling. Every reread I find new aspects to love. Thank you Nalini for such wonderful writing!!
