I devoured Laura Florand's "Chase Me" last night. I stay up way past any reasonable time to go to sleep reading the whole thing. Finished "Armed & Magical" by Lisa Shearin Did a Re-read of "Archangel's Storm, Legion, and Shadow."
After I finished reading Paper Princess by Erin Watt (holy cow, what a book!), I jumped back into the Psy-Changeling series. I'm on Branded by Fire right now and am loving the hell out of Riley and Mercy. So good!
Re-reading Marked in Flesh by Anne Bishop- a bit confusing at times with so many new characters but then I got it, setting up the change in the world and giving you new characters and settings to continue the story line. Reads so much better the second time and the ending is terrific. Warden by Montana Ash. First book but author so some issues with consistency and main character is immature at times, but enough that was new and unique to make it an interesting read. When you are an avid reader for 40 years it is hard to find something new and interesting. (hence my love of the psy series :) ) Looking forward to Paladin to see where the story goes.
I recently started reading the Red Rising series by Pierce Brown. It brings back memories from high school mythology class. It proves that ignorance is bliss and that with great knowledge comes great responsibility. Every now and then I need to read something to rest my brain before the next emotional roller coaster you publish.
Reading One Second (of the Seven Series) by Dannika Dark. It's the last in the series and I really enjoyed the series. I just got a lot of free books from the 3 Days giveaway. There are so many authors out there, and like everyone else, I have my favorites. I thought it was time to give some less known authors a chance. I've even considered starting to write myself. But after seeing how many authors there are out there, and how long it takes them to be recognized, I decided to wait and continue reading for now. I have to say authors like Nalini Singh are an inspiration, not to mention daunting! When you read a book by someone like her, then read one from a lesser known author, it's obvious why she's so popular and the other is lesser known. I love your books! And I'm waiting patiently for Allegiance of Honor.
