I discovered a historical mystery series by P.B. Ryan. The first is Still Life with Murder. The stories are set in Boston after the Civil War. Our heroine is Nell Sweeney, a governess. Each novel has a complete mystery but there is an over-arching story about Nell's past and her relationships to the various characters we meet. I have read three and have enjoyed each of them.

Couldn't decide what to read so I have been rereading the "Chicks in Chainmail" short story collections. Some are quite hilarious and most are at least amusing. There are several books of these fantasy short stories. All have female warrior protagonists and most are written by female authors. All poke fun and poke holes in the stereotype of women warriors in bikini chainmail. There is a healthy dose of brainpower with all their brawn. Very light and easy read when you want a giggle or smirk.

I just finished Base Instincts (A Demonica Story) by Larissa Ione. I really liked this short story. It's about two males and I really liked the solution Larissa Ione found for them. I think it's quite unusal to read about a lovestory between two men, I think more authors should write a gay story in there series. Unfortunately the story was very short. A must read for all Demonica fans.

Skimmed through the Rock Kiss series in anticipation of Noah and Kit. Then went through some of the J.D. Robb books to see if my bookmarks from my old Nook transitioned to my new Nook.

One thing I want to point out to everyone...if you get a new e-reader (Kindle, Nook, etc.) there is a possibility that the cover for Slave to Sensation may change from the original cover to the new one. That's what happened to me (not that I'm complaining...just took me by surprise).
