Besides going goofy on the Shards of Hope excerpts, I'm re-re-re (how many re can I put???) reading Heart of Obsidian. I did stop to read really fast Elizabeth Hoyt's new book Dearest Rogue. It did not grab my attention as fast as some of her other books. I think she wrote it as a stepping stone to her next book in the Maiden Lane series.

Four days (if you don't count today in the U. S.) until Shards of Hope. Yay!

I read Magic Burns by Ilona Andrews. Also read Dearest Rogue by Elizabeth Hoyt. I agree it wasn't one of the best in the series, but I really liked it.

I just finished The Talon of the Hawk by Jeffe Kennedy. It was everything I was hoping it would be. Ms. Kennedy's Twelve Kingdom books are worth checking out if you haven't.

I'm reading Unbinding from the Lupi series by Eileen Wilks and Steam and Sensibility by Kirsten Weiss. They are vastly different in one book is paranormal and one is steampunk, but both are very good so far.

I read Talon of the Hawk also and really enjoyed it. Saw on Goodreads that she's planning to do Dafne's story and that made me happy!

I loved Karen Templeton's From Friends to Forever, the final book in her Guys and Daughters series. Also enjoyed Shannon Stacey's Under the Lights, the first book in her new Boys of Fall series. I liked Karen Templeton's A Marriage-Minded Man the third book in her Wed in the West series.

Currently rereading the Psy/Changeling series for the second time this year in anticipation of Shards of Hope. Only 3-1/2 more days...82 hours and 18 minutes...not that I obsessively counting down or anything :p

Just found out I have to take my mom in for surgery on Tuesday so I won't be able to stay up and start the book at midnight as I'd planned. But Aden and Zaira will make for good company in the waiting room. And hopefully they will be able to do the outpatient thing they have planned and not have to admit her. I am amazed at what is considered outpatient surgery these days o_O

Thanks Sanja and Patricia.

She just got a call that her doctor won't be available tomorrow so they're rescheduling her appointment for later in the week. Which is a bummer because she's so nervous and the anxiety can't be good for her. Plus she was looking forward to having things over with and now she has to wait longer. I appreciate the well wishes. Thanks :)
