I just finished 'Soulless' by Gail Carriger. A fantasticly funny romance novel that frequently had me laughing so hard I had to stop reading! It's set in an AU Victorian London where Vampires and Werewolves live openly in society. It's very tongue in cheek and I recommend it to anyone who enjoys the image of a young woman reprimanding a vampire because he tried to bite her when they hadn't been 'properly introduced'.
Hi, I am currently reading Wicked Nights by Gena Showalter. After reading Stephanies comment regarding Soulless I had a short look at the excerpt on amazon... I think this will be next. Ebook is available at Books on Board.
Just finshed A duke of her own, the 1st in the rogues and roses series by Lorraine Heath which i enjoyed. Now, I am going to read the concluding novel Just Wicked Enough. Sj
Just finished 'Far from the Madding Crowd' By Thomas Hardy and I am just about to start 'Brisingr' the third book in the Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini! Oh and I just ordered Soulless from Amazon!!!!!!!! :D
I'm reading "Katana" by Cole Gibsen. It's about a California skater chick who learns she's the reincarnated soul of a samurai! Its turning out to be well written, fast paced, and highly entertaining! The love interest is a POC; a cute Asian male!
I discovered this fantastic self-publishing author S.E. Smith. I am reading book 3 in her Dragon Lords of Valdier series. I give this series 4 out of 5 stars.
Just finished the new Black Dog and Rebel Rose short story Ghosts of Winter I think it was the best one yet. That it was free on kindle made it even better.
I just finished reading "Minority Council" by Kate Griffin. I'm addicted to them almost as much as I am the Psy/Changeling series! After that I went and found some Nalini's silhouette books (Craving Beauty and Awaken to Senses). I'm going to start reading "Dark Frost" by Jennifer Estep while I wait for the next Elemental Assassin book to come out (as, well, of course while I wait for Archangel's Storm)!
I just finished "Once Burned" by Jeanine Frost as well and enjoyed it, cant wait for Shadow of Night to come out on Kindle this coming Tuesday - saw from others' comments they are reading it already - where did ypu get it? I can't buy it yet...any advice? Also finished Again the Magic by Lisa Kleypas, it is a good book in an excellent series (The Wallflowers series). ~ Alina
Grave Mercy by Robing LaFevers. Its very engrossing. I havent finished the book yet so Ill just share the first paragraph which pulled me in right away: "I bear a deep red stain that runs from my left shoulder down to my right hip, a trail left by the herbwitch’s poison that my mother used to try to expel me from her womb. That I survived, according to the herbwitch, is no miracle but a sign I have been sired by the god of death himself.
Tangle of Need, Dangerous Pleasure by Lora Leigh and The Sheikh's Redemption by Olivia Gates were my books read this past week. Looking forward to Once Burned by Ms. Frost and Gun Metal Magic by Ilona Andrews too. Have reading everyone! -Roxanne
