I finally got the newest JD Robb, New York to Dallas. How weird is it to have an In Death novel without "In Death" in the title? Quite disorienting, if you ask me. I like it so far, though. The bad guy is especially bad and I'm crossing my fingers that he dies painfully at the end.
I'm currently in a massive reread of David Weber's Honor Harrington series. I'm in the middle of Honor Among Enemies and remembering how great this series is.
I am reading Sharon Shinn's Angelica and really enjoying it. I decided to read the books in chronological order rather than published order and I hope it is a good decision. So far it is a beautiful story.
Just finished Jessica Andersen's Storm Kissed.. #7 in the Final Prophecy ... the Nightkeepers..
What a gorgeous.. most awesome book!! YEAH!!
I couldn't help thinking back to the first 3 books in the series. That was really hard to read. So dense with important info. But I always LOVE all things MAYAN, so I persevered. And I've enjoyed the series so much.
Storm Kissed was so special. Because it was really the FIRST TIME that the Nightkeepers WON ONE!! Yeah!! In the previous 6 books.. they lost .. kept losing.. losing.. UNTIL NOW!!! I kinda know that the good guys had to lose cuz the series had to go on. Still.. it was just so satisfying for them to win big this time around!!
I know they'll have to keep winning now! Cuz the END DATE is approaching!! 12-21-12 is almost here!!!
My fave quote from Storm Kissed:
P. 262: Snake Mendez said to Reese Montana..
"You're mine, Reese." His eyes went luminous and his voice dropped. "And I'm yours. I always have been, even when I got lost in the darkness."
Reading this series has also become my personal pleasure since the CHAT with you & Doc Jess last month.. September 29?? Both of you have been so gracious!! So fun to hang out with!! THNX again for that NIGHT!!
Can't wait for ANGEL'S FLIGHT on MARCH 29, 2012!!!
One last thought on Jessica Andersen's Storm Kissed.. I hope many more readers read this series!! You guys won't be disappointed. TRULY.
Just finished Finnikin of the Rock by Melina Marchetta. A beautifully written and wonderful romance. Seriously, I just ordered the sequel from an international website because the UK release date is not til next year! I would 100 % recommend it and will definitely be re-reading until the sequel arrives!
I'm reading 'Some girls bite' by Chloe Neill. It's the first book in the Chicagoland vampires series. It was recommended in my latest heroes and heartbrakers newsletter as a must for lovers of vampire romance. The beginning had me hooked and I carried on reading till 3am without noticing. Hence the throbbing headache this morning! Will I like the rest of the book, who knows? Unfortunately I have very high standards which makes it very hard for me to find new authors I like. I blame Nalini for spoiling me with her books!
I have literally just turned the last page of Archangel's Blade. Thank you, I knew I was going to love Dmitri and oh yum! It was also wonderful to have a sexually dominant man who didn't have to somehow loose his inclination for erotic pain like so many other characters do when they meet their mates (why do authors do that? Don't get me started...)
Also during the week I read Halfway to the Grave by Jeaniene Frost, much enjoyed. And also read Grave Dance by Kalayna Price which I just devoured - although "Death" and Fallen are nice heros and I like mine a little edgier....hello Dmitri and Raphael.
Just got a pile of books from Amazon so am pondering what's on next weeks menu....
Nalini truly has me hooked!! I can't read another book without comparing it to her wonderful series ( both of them!), and she has set a sky high standard for other authors, and for me, none of them has lived up to it
I finished reading "Star Island" earlier. I liked it but "Nature Girl" is still my favorite. I'll be starting "Blood Spells" from the Nightkeepers series. It's my first Jessica Andersen novel but I am looking forward to it, especially after reading an earlier comment about the latest book in the series.

I love a deal on books so as an FYI, there are ebooks on sale for $3.99 at: http://pages.simonandschuster.com/comiccon
Just finished reading this fantastic book called Kiss of Snow ;) Got it on Friday, finished on Saturday... *sigh* I really hoped I'd be able to make myself spread it out for longer, but never mind, Hawke was too yummy to resist!
Now going back to reading 'River Marked' by Patricia Briggs, which I'm almost finished with, and really enjoying.
read kathryne kennedy's book beneath the 13 moons... kinda corny title but the tale is really good,....recommend that for the romance and the world building... going to get my hands on the next 2 books...
Currently, I'm ready "Kane" by Jacquelyn Frank in the anthology Supernatural. I've always imagined what happened between the main characters when they spent a night alone after the heroine almost died in "Jacob", and now I get to know it! Besides, I'm getting ready for "Adam", which releases tomorrow (Oct. 25).

Rereading Elizabeth Hoyt's new book Scandalous Desires. I would absolutely recommend it. All of Elizabeth Hoyt's books are amazing.

I'm reading Blood and Fire, the latest for Shannon McKenna. Hot, exciting McCloud brothers. I wish she would write faster!

Laini Taylor Daughter of Smoke and Bone
Loving the audiobook Head Rush by Carolyn Crane. The narrator is doing an awesome job, and the story is riveting! Woot!
Laini Taylor Daughter of Smoke and Bone. Brilliant! Really well written. I read it in two days and was lucky to get one of the Author signed copies.
Before that, i Read Lady Protector by L E Modesitt jr. Loved it!
