Have just started Caitlin Moran's 'How to be a Woman.' I'm only a quarter through and have deliberately begun to ration the remainder because it's such a frank and deliciously written account of growing up female!
I've also just re-read Kiss of Snow. I have to say that the first time round I gobbled it up in one long-and possibly teensiest bit skimmed- sitting (i was so eager to get to the Hawke and Sienna parts)... this second time round I've taken longer and had a chance to savour the book in a more holistic way. It's sucha rich and absorbing read, thankyou Nalini!
I'm about to start Omega Mine, which I've heard really good things about. I also just finished listening to The Son of Neptune. It wasn't quite as good as The Lost Hero, but it was really good none the less.
finished all 5 books of the fever series by karen moning.. so freaking good... luv luv jerrico barrons... what a yummy man...alpha of the year! getting my hands on serpent's kiss by thea harrison... really like her books, dragons and all... happy weekend y'all
Finished Serpent's Kiss by Thea Harrison this week great story and only have to wait until March for the next book. Also read Lady Sophie's Christmas Wish by Grace Burrowes which was a fun Regency novel.
I have struggled to find anything decent to read lately but just discovered Daryna Jones. What a find! She only has two books out so far and they are fab! Great dark plot, spunky heroine and gorgeous hero, strong supporting characters and laugh out loud funny to boot. I love a book that you keep thinking about even when you have to stop and make dinner! Can wait for book 3 in the series.
I know I'm "late to the party", but I have "found" J.R. Ward's Brotherhood series and I am hooked! I'm about to start book 5 and all I can say is "WOW!".
I finished Born of Fire by sherrilyn kenyon.I have heard her name mentioned on this blog a few times so thought I would try it. I liked the book, especially the character of Syn. However I found her writing style a bit disjointed and there was alot of 'telling' instead of 'showing'. I might try another one of her books, but she won't be going on my autobuy list.I will probably try Thea Harrison next because of the amount of times her name has been mentioned on here.
I read Reunion by F.E. Heaton. I found this snippet on the author homepage. There is a free pdf download of this short story, so it`s possible to copy it to the kindle. http://www.vampiresrealm.com/index.php
The story is short but surprisingly well written and this vampire world is very interesting. I`ll definitely explore them.
My daughter insisted I read The Lost Hero so that I could read Son of Neptune. I have read books 1-4 of Karen Chance's Cassandra Palmer books and jumped over to Dorina Basarab book 1. I do so wish she would write a full length novel for Lia de Croisets. Waiting for Keri Arthur's next book. Did you ever notice that most of her books are about some put upon woman dragging some idiot man kicking and screaming by his .. until he finally decides he loves her. But I am waiting impatiently for the beginning of November for Heart of Steel(Meljean), Death Magic(Eileen Wilks),Tied With a Bow(various) and Reckoning(Lili St. Crow)
I just finished Lord of the Abyss, which is my first ever book by you. That really sounds very awkardly written. :) I wanted to say I enjoyed it a lot, some parts were very gruesome but unfortunately for me believable too (so I felt deeply for Liliana). Next on my list to enjoy will be some of Vlad Taltos' adventures (I love those S. Brust books).
Rereading a Christine Feehan Ghostwalker book, Mind Game, second in the series. I can't get enough books to keep up with my reading, so I have to re-read them constantly. Right now I'm doing her and then I will re-read the JD Robb books, then Nalinni Singh's Psy series, then the Angels and then who knows. I read about 1 book a day or more, so finding new books is really difficult!
Provided I'm not ill tomorrow, I'm planning to buy "Magische Verführung", together with another book of a German author (Nephilim by Gesa Schwartz). So...
I finished A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness yesterday and really enjoyed it. This weekend I'm onto Retribution by Sherrilyn Kenyon and Dark Predator by Christine Feehan.

I just discovered Gena Showalter's Lords of the Underworld. I've read the first one and thought it was great and intend to read the others.
I read and loved "Sins of the Angels" by Linda Poitevin. She has a great voice..loved the characters and the world.
