Lately I've been in a bit of a reading slump and it's not due to a lack of interesting selection. Anyway, thanks to Border's TrueRomance blog I'd won a copy of Anna Windsor's 'Captive Heart' and it's providing me some needed distraction now:)
I'm currently reading Caris Roane's Ascention, which I'm enjoying. Vampires with wings! (I blame your Guild Hunter series for my newly recognized wing fetish!).
Dreams of a Dark Warrior by Kresley Cole. It's pretty fantastic and it was a drag to have to go to sleep last night and not finish it.
It either speaks of the books greatness or my innate nerdiness that I must have been the only Irish person not hammered and passed out in a park somewhere. At least I get to be annoyingly cheerful to all my hung over friends today :)
In-all-and-anyways, Happy Paddy's weekend and luck of the Irish you you all.
Just read Clarity the YA by Kim Harrison. I enjoyed it-not as dark as her other series. Now I am in the middle of River Marked by Patricia Briggs. I love this series.
Right now I'm reading, and loving, Nalini's Hostage to Pleasure. Yummmm! hahaha I also finished this week Mine to Possess and Archangel's Consort. Both of which I love, love, LOVED!!!
I just finished your Kiss of Snow! Thank you for sending me one of the Extra-ARCs. I really loved the book and will start writing a review this weekend! Daaamn, I'm still high. xD
Wanted to continue reading "Falling Under" by Gwen Hayes. :)
I'm rereading my Robin McKinley collection. I finished reading The Door in the Hedge, Beauty, and am in the middle of The Blue Sword. I'll read the Hero and the Crown next. After that, M.J. Putney's Dark Mirror. I'll be going to a comic convention this weekend so hope to pick up some graphic novels to read and enjoy.
Noooo! That's so.... good for you Urbanreadin. Do me a favor and please post a review soon (with lots of spoilers). I'm reading Primal Bonds by Jennifer Ashley. What is it about shapeshifters? I love them. Vampires too.
@ Anon. If you're a not already a board-member you might consider it now ;). We're discussing the book there, two of us got an ARC and wrote our first thoughts down already (without beeing too spoilery or anything of course). :)
I've just started the JD Robb series, after seeing a recommendation on the friday book club, I'm really enjoying them so far....
loved the new story, thanks Nalini x
I had trouble understanding Talin to start with and had to re read the book a few times before I started to understand the complex emotions that were going on between the her and Clay, I loved the hope and forgiveness in the story xx
I'm reading and loving Eve Silver's Otherkin trilogy. Randomly purchased Sins of the Heart and Sins of the Souls and read them back-to-back. Loved them so much, I had to locate and purchase Sins of the Flesh and am reading it today.
What is this board everyone is speaking of? I love shifter stories I'd say they are my favorite! But I'm also into anything paranormal though I'm over vampires (Christine Feehan burnout! LOL)
I cannot wait for KOS.
I'm re-reading Carolina Moon by Nora Roberts (Psychic) and will probably go through her 3 Sisters Trilogy (Witches) I found those two books so well written!
I started to re-read the Sookie Stackhouse series (gotta love Charlaine Harris) and I just finished Stormwaler by Allyson James. Janet Begay is one kicka** chick! I really enjoy strong female characters with lots of attitude. I am EAGERLY awaiting the next BDB book by JR Ward and the last Earth's Children book on the 29th! Oh...and the next Chronicles of Nick book by Sherrilyn Kenyon on Tuesday. This is one of the few YA books I like.
i've started reading the Mercedes Thompson series by Patricia Briggs this week.. I'm on book 5.. I guess I feel obligated to keep reading them since I started. .. But i'm not really into it. It lacks any emotional connection in my opinion. I read the first 3, and was hoping they would get better. now i read on because i read the first 3 already.
I just read Girl Who Chased the Moon by Sarah Addison Allen I read River Marked a little while ago and I think it was not the best one in terms of plot but I loved it all the same... everyone who is writing they don't like that are breaking my heart a little bit. But to each their own, my friend doesn't get why I dislike the Black Dagger Brotherhood except the first one.
Vampires in America series - Raphael, Jabril, Rajmund......what is it about uber-males called Raphael? :) Totally swoon-worthy...... Not so sure about the 3rd book Rajmund though, will. Have to see how the 4th book goes when it is released later this year.
I've just finished Among Others, by Jo Walton. Great read, though I wish I'd read more of the sci fi books the protagonist goes on about.
Now I've gone back to Lauren Willig's Pink Carnation series - book 5, this time. I'm picking up fewer discrepancies now, which is a relief. One of my main problems in the first few was the references to French aristocrats being held in the Bastille in the 1790s, when it was destroyed in 1789. The series is fluff, but a lot of fun, and I have a decided weakness for frame tales.
Like Cony I am re-reading Lover Awakened. I love Zsadist too. he is my fav brother. I am also waiting for some of my fav books to release already....and in the mean time re-read my fav books
Sorry if this has nothing to do with anything, Nalini, but I am such a great fan of yours -ESPECIALLY SINCE YOU'RE INDIAN LIKE ME!!!!- and I noticed that YOU HAVEN'T WANTCHED 3 IDIOTS! GASP!
lOL... Seriously, it's amazing! Watch it! You'll love it!
I just found the Guild Hunter series and read all 3 books immediately, my husband was kind of annoyed, too bad. I read a lot and it has been a long time since I have found anything fresh and new to sink my teeth into so Thank You for these awesome books and please, please, please write some more. I notice you have a book coming featuring Dimitri and I will get that asap but I would love to read another book about Elena & Raphael too. With Archangel's mom waking up there has to be a few more stories to tell. I will have to start reading your psi series while I wait but I hope it is a very short wait.
I just finished reading Laurann Dohner's new cyborg series book, Stealing Coal. I'm so grateful for ellorascave for allowing me the opportunity to try new authors during the time between my favorite authors' releases....so anxious to read kiss of snow!! Oh, and thanks for Aishwarya's music video...had no idea that she was a singer as well as an actress. She is probably one of my favorite international celebrities...so beautiful!

I just finished reading Mine to Possess. I loved Clay but didn't like Talin, she was too whiny and weak. I can't wait to read Hostage to Pleasure.
I read Blaze of Memory and now I started with Soul Music by Terry Pratchett. I like his style of writing.
I´m reading Lover Awakened. What is it that turns me on about Zsadist? ;-) Like the bad guy image...

I'm reading and loving Eve Silver's Otherkin trilogy. Randomly purchased Sins of the Heart and Sins of the Souls and read them back-to-back. Loved them so much, I had to locate and purchase Sins of the Flesh and am reading it today.
