Monday

I'm continuing to work on the copy-edited manuscript for Kiss of Snow. So much happens in this book - but if I told you what, I'd have to have the men in black coats come and take you away. ;-)

There was a comment on the previous post asking what copy edits meant - I did a guest blog about the editing process over at Book Binge last year that explains it, so swing by and check it out.

How was your weekend?

I'm willing to take my chances with the men in the black coats. Bring it on. More Kiss of Snow news. =)

Since we're in the last week before Archangel's Consort comes out, I have to ask. Am I the only one who finds herself compulsivly going to Barnes and Noble everyday in the hopes that they may put the book out early?

I will lap up anything KoS. One word or a string of words, it matters not. Please continue to feed my addiction.

Anyway, I better get back to finishing up my own work. It's going to be a great two weeks for reading: AC and Shadowfever!

@Lindlee: I do that for all books I'm waiting for. I did it today in hopes of finding Shadowfever out early. No luck.

Nalini, I don't care what color coats the men wear, it'd be worth it to learn more about Kiss of Snow!

If you have even the slightest inclination to share some more of the book, don't fight it! Give in. You'll feel better for it. I know I will. ;)

I agree with Lindlee!

And if the men in black coats are as hot as the guys you write in your books, please send them after me. ;-)

ps. How far are you in the process with Archangel's Blade now?

Is Kiss of Snow (June 2011) really a Berkley Hardcover?
And .. will the paperback be out in August?
(<- can't afford a hardcover)

TLL said...

Fiona, I think the paperback is out in December. The ebook is supposed to be out at the same time as the hardcover though.

Thank you, TLL.
Seems like I've got an even longer time to wait ahead of me :)

Fiona- according to Amazon.de the Paperback will be out on August 11.

It's the UK edition that's currently showing the August release date. That date may change - I'll update the site when I have more info.

@Lindlee Barnes and Noble especially the one near my house NEVER has it out early or even on the release date. Times like that I get pretty hot and pissed, I'll call the night before release and ask about the book and they'll say its not out yet but check back tomorrow because we should have it in stock. When I call the next day its oh we have it but it hasn't been unpacked yet. How long does it take to put a book on the shelf? Those idiots kill me I just know I am going to have problems with them for Archangels Consort.

I agree completely with Jennifer K!

PLEASE continue....

I had a dream last night that there was a movie version of the Nalini's changeling books. Lucas was smokin' hot but Hawke was okay ( I guess my mind couldn't conjure up an image hot enough for Hawke)!

HC or paperback, can't wait for the book.
But first, Archangel's Consort!

Is Kiss of Snow really going to be released as a hardcover?! That's what it says on Amazon...nooooooooooooooooo!

Goddess Athena,

My Barnes & Noble is the same way! Location-wise, it's closer to my house, so I would always check with them first on release days. However, the books are never put out yet. Thus, I just go straight to Borders now since I at least know it'll be there on release day, despite the longer drive.

I work for Barnes and Noble, and trust me, I feel your pain. Some books have SOS dates (Strict on Sale) which means we cannot sell them until the date the publisher has set. Other times, the books arrive on the release date, so we don't get to put them on the shelf until later that day. The day that Play of Passion came out, I wasn't able to buy it until that afternoon.

We do our best to try and stock the shelves with new releases as fast as possible. When Consort comes out, you can bet that I will try to get my hands on it and put them on display ASAP :)

Men in black coats don't intimidate me and as long as they take me someplace tropical I'm good to go. lol

My family had a good weekend with lots of sunshine and warm weather. It felt like spring.

As for Kiss of Snow, I am buying the hardcover! For those that cringe at the price you might want to look at Amazon or B&N because they have KOS at 41% off($15.09). Now I debate whether to pre-order it or walk into a bookstore on release date and buy it.
