Got a hardcover version of Shadow Queen by Anne Bishop, because teenie tiny paperback just isn't enough.
Reading No Humans Involved by Kelley Armstrong. I've read the rest of the series but I held off reading this one for as long as possible because the heroine is one of my least favorites.
Waiting for Spirit Bound by Richelle Mead next week.
Reading The Bounty by Beth Williamson. This book started out very good. But it's a bit laggy towards the end. I'm kinda waiting for it to finish now (which makes me sad)
I am still listening to Nalini's Angels Blood AGAIN, downloaded from audible.com. I tell you it was really good the first time I read it , but now that there is a narrator who, in my opinion, is really good, the story just gets into your blood (pun intended.) I love the accents she uses, and to hear Bluebell speak (even if it is through a mere mortal), well it just get my heart a thumping!!I can't wait for Archangel's Kiss to come out an audio next month.
I have a lot to listen/read this weekend,if I can pry myself away from Angel's Blood. I have to catch up on, Christine Feehan's Wild Fire, Hush,Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick, and Linda Howard/Linda Jones' Blood Born.I just got them in the mail. It's the only thing I hate about book clubs. The books take forever to get to you even when pre ordered. I guess it's the sacrifice I pay for wanting hardcover even if they are a bit smaller.
Have a great weekend everybody and enjoy whatever you are reading.
I finished reading Breath & Bone (Carol Berg), the second book in the Lighthouse Duet earlier this week and there aren't enough adjectives *grin* If you want to read an amazingly good, character-based fantasy, this is it!
Am now reading Lover Mine and hoping I will enjoy it more than Lover Avenged, which drove me crazy (and not in a good way).
I just finished up with Wild Fire by Christine Feehan. Totally awesome read! And am now starting Altanis Rising by Alyssa Day. Next up after that is the new Sookie Stackhouse book "Dead in the Family" by Charlaine Harris.
Also looking forward to True Blood season 2 out on May 19th (in OZ)
Just last night I finished my rereads of Magic Bites, Magic Burns, and Magic Strikes in preparations for Magic Bleeds. I can't wait to see how things go between Kate and Curran.
I also reread Zero at the Bone by Jane Seville, my favorite MM romance ever. I may need to buy it in paperback so I don't have to be chained to my laptop to read it.
Just finished High Society Secret Baby by Maxine Sullivan - another good read by her. Just reread this book called Mine to Possess and Caressed by Ice. Linger by Maya Banks and just picked up Wild Fire by Christine Feehan.
OMG, I've just recognized that I haven't read as much as I am used to. Was so busy doing other things, I only read Nalini's GH1 again. Very bad week that I haven't found anything new. :-)
I got Into the Dark by Gena Showalter this week and read that. I loved the Lords goodies! The extras were fabulous! I liked Nike's and Atlas' novella the best (I haven't read any of her Atlantis books so I was lost on that one). As much as I love Gena's Lords, I think your novellas are better so I had to reread Beat of Temptation.
With Summer vacation, I have more time to read, so up next is a rereading of Clay and Tammy's story (my personal fave) and some Kresley Cole's IAD while waiting on Lover Mine from the library.
Just finished reading Outlander by Diana Gabaldon. I've been putting it off for so long but I finally started and just devoured it. It was like multi layered chocolate cake, but better because Jamie Fraser is just a slice of beefcake! Sigh
I'm eagerly awaiting the opportunity to read the next in the series.
I'm reading Dard Needs at Night's edge by Kresley Cole. Still making my way through her series, but loving every word! I think this one may be my favorite so far!
I just turned in Twilight at the library. I only got about halfway through. All I gotta say is "Oy!" and "Really?" I don't get it. I didnt' think it was very good. Also thinking I will have to spend the weekend reading fave authors, like our Nalini, cuz they are WAAAAY better!
On a harlequin kick with my library book reads. Recently read and enjoyed Drowning City by Amanda Downum. It took me about 123 pages to really get into it, and then (thank goodness) the plot picked up and it was smooth reading.
@fsu4tg Recommended authors/titles: Jill Shalvis's Double Play and Slow Heat; Susan Elizabeth Phillips backlist (my favourite was Nobody's Baby But Mine), Linda Howard (If you haven't tried yet I loved To Die For and Dead Drop Gorgeous), or Lori Foster. Ilona Andrews (On the Edge or the Kate Daniels series), JR Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood series (Dark Lover remains my favourite), or Jordan Summers's Dead World trilogy if you're in the mood for a parnormal/fantasy series.
I'm currently reading The Mage in Black by Jaye Wells. I found the first book in the series interesting and decided to get the second book. So far I like it. It will be book #40 this year.
@Kerry You couldn't get Angel's Blood at http://www.audible.com it is in the romance paranormal and sci fi paranormal sections
or did you try Amazon at http://www.amazon.com/Angels-Blood-Guild-Hunter-Nalini
and you might try the site that produced it Tantor Media at http://www.tantor.com/BookDetail.asp?Product=1715_AngelsBlood Next is the link to the PDF order sheet from Tantor Media http://www.tantor.com/SellSheets/1715_AngelsBlood.pdf
I also found where you can buy the disc if that is an option at Barnes and Noble for $25.19US http://search.barnesandnoble.com/Angels-Blood/Nalini-Singh/e/9781400117154/?itm=3&USRI=angel%27s+blood
Book Depository has it and they ship worldwide!!! http://www.bookdepository.com/book/9780425226926/Angels-Blood
I would really love for everyone to hear this. It has been getting great customer feedback on the sites I visited. I wish there was a way for me to tag the audio sample.
Nalini, Do you know if you can insert the audio clip from Tantor Media on your site? YES I AM OBSESSED!! It really is (in my opinion) an AWESOME audio (but please listen to the sample before hand so you have a feel for the narrator). And Nalini,if you need anyone to promote your books, I'M YOUR GIRL!!!
The reason I couldn't see it at Audible is that I'm in New Zealand and I guess it isn't licenced to be sold here. Because Audible knows where I am, they just don't show up things they aren't allowed to see me in the search results. It's very frustrating but I can't do anything about it.
I'd have to buy the CD and import it, which is pretty expensive, even from Book Depository. Maybe if I have some money to spare, I can do that some day. Unfortunately, it won't be today. At the moment I'm falling asleep when I listen to audiobooks anyway, much as I love them.
I'd really been hoping I could buy the download, but no such luck.
@Kerry It blows my mind that y'all can't get it in New Zealand when the AUTHOR is in New Zealand. I sure wish there was a way for me to help you get, not only this book but any others you would like. Books keep me from loosing what's left of my mind. I have 4 herniated discs in my lower back and can't do all I used to. And I won't even mention the pain. Anyway, reading and audio are so important to me. I read on your profile that you have problems too. My prayers are with you. Need a shoulder, email me lizardkisses@bellsouth.net
Oh, did read Lover Mine by JR Ward. Enjoyed it, but still think that JM's a douche. Nice to see certain characters back and to figure out some hidden truths.
Oh and if Blaylock and Qhuinn do not end up as a couple and I do mean a complete couple, there will be hell to pay.
I'm not big into m/m, but the chemistry between those two is intense and super, super hot. *fans self*
@PrincessBumblebee so glad I am not the only one who found Twilight awful! The craze around the books astounds me (why can't we get a movie for Slave to Sensation? :)
@Cherry, I haven't read Bianca's story yet! I'm trying to get a copy.
Does anyone know if Gena Showalter's The Darkest Angel can be bought seperately as an e-book, or do I have to get the whole Into the Dark? (I'm new to E-books)
I just finished an arc for Shadow Bound by Erin Kellinson. (Jeez its great to work at a bookstore!!) Its coming out end of June! and can I say it was amazing!!!! Now if only time would advance enough to be able to read Bonds of Justice!!! ARRRGGG!!!!! Until next time!!!
@Hendrik If you look up a little on this blog, there are a few sites listed(in the US and one WW) where you can find Angel's Blood. Archangel's Kiss is out next month.
I`m reading the Stieg Larsson trilogy (The girl with the dragon tattoo, The girl who played with fire,The girl who kicked the hornet`s nest) and have to admit... - This trilogy is absolutely intoxicating!
Curse you amazon UK! Can´t get my hands on Lora Leighs Lions Heat till the middle of june!!! But then, all the bookstores in England have the same problem so: Damn you England!
@Henrik I love KMM's Highlander's. I haven't read her faefever series yet, but her highlanders are awesome (Adam's story is, in my opinion, one of the best).

Just read the new Nora Roberts! It was great! Now I'm looking for something new. Any recommendations?

Now I'm reading Goddess of The Hunt, by Tessa Dare, pretty good so far.

After seeing Ducky's comment about listening to Angels' Blood on audio, I took a look in the NZ iTunes store to see if they had any of Nalini's books.
It turns out I can buy four Psy/Changeling books in German if I want, but nothing in English.
(Sadly, nothing shows up for me at Audible.com, which mean the geographic restrictions are biting me again.)
I'm reading Sharon Lee and Steve Miller's Fledgling at the moment and going to pick up my copy of the sequel, Saltation, today.
I finished Robin McKinley's Sunshine during the week and absolutely loved it.
Really god: Wild Fire by Christine Feehan
I'm currently reading The Mage in Black by Jaye Wells. I found the first book in the series interesting and decided to get the second book. So far I like it. It will be book #40 this year.
Like Christina, I'm also reading the Lords of the Underworld series. Finished all the main books, now to read Bianka's story. And Nike's

My reading was crazy! I read so much I'm sure I can't remember them all. :)

@Christina
The Darkest Angel can be read for free on Gena's website
@Christina: Tracy is right, it's on the website for free.
And it is hilarious. I expected nothing less from a Harpy. Omg, I have to reread it.
I need to find the Guild Hunter books on audio. I figure that will get me off my butt and out walking if I could listen to it.
I'm just starting Beyond the Highland Mist.
@Hendrik If you look up a little on this blog, there are a few sites listed(in the US and one WW) where you can find Angel's Blood. Archangel's Kiss is out next month.

Amen!
