Don't you just love the ones where you hurt yourself but there's no pain straight away, then a few seconds later - oweeee. I wonder what that's all about.
I did that once when I was messing with my hair in the morning and I was walking from my bedroom to the bathroom. I banged my elbow on the doorway. I felt like such an idiot! And it hurt!!
I wonder who's bright idea it was to call the striking of the elbow, hitting the "funny bone" cause it sure as hell isn't funny.....well maybe it is to everyone watching you dance around , grabbing your elbow saying 'oweeee oweee oweee (insert any expletives...it's your elbow.) I have been know to utter a few choice curse words with the hope that my family doesn't hear me.
Well Ive hit my elbow before but I hit it right on the nook. It was a very unpleasant feeling. It hurt really bad it leaves your elbow sore after the pain subsides.
My mother always used to call that area 'the funny bone'.... I never found it funny when I cracked it against something by accident.
I'd say it's a combination of the nerves travelling through that area and the lack of 'padding' (muscles). Not sure if that helps with the ouch though :(

Because there's a bunch of sensitive nerves without much protection in that area of your arm.

Oh Gods, I hate it too. One of those pains thats real intense while its fresh but actually fades away a lot quicker than you would think.

i did that two weeks ago and mine is still sore...I hope your's feels better soon. :)
I banged it, then forgot I'd done it. Kept wondering why my elbow hurt (o0)
In Germany we call it the "musical bone" doubtless because of the above mentioned "owee" sounds! I hate even more to hurt my toes!
Somebody already got it....but it's the nerves there, the ulnar nerve, I think. But my anatomy is rusty.
NO idea but it does hurt!
Things like this are a daily occurrence for me now. I don't feel complete until I either hurt my elblow or stub my toe at least once a day ;-)

hurts just as much to bang your knee. My vision went black for a second.
