Snapshot Monday: Pemberley!!

I give you the magnificent Chatsworth House, which acted as Pemberley for the most recent movie version of Pride and Prejudice.

Looking down toward the house from the top of the stunning staircase fountain.

There was an exhibition of modern art going on in the (fabulous!!) grounds when we went - this piece was one of my favorites.

This room was used in a scene in P & P.

The library! Isn't it gorgeous?

Costumes from The Duchess, which was also filmed at Chatsworth.

And a shot of the grounds near the house.

If you ever get a chance to visit Chatsworth, I would absolutely recommend it. Make sure you go on a beautiful sunny day as the grounds are utterly beautiful. You could walk for hours and still not see everything.

I hope you all had a lovely weekend :)

Gorgeous photos Nalini!

I adored my visit to Chatsworth...it was misty when we arrived and left, which completely added to the ambience! Oh, and I spoke to the Dowager Duchess - we met in the herb garden :)

I'll definitely be adding Chatsworth to the list of places I want to visit in the too far off future. Those pictures are beautiful!

Absolutely fantastic pictures. So beautiful, I can't imagine living in a place like that. It was totally perfect for the movie.

Its beautiful. I love Pride and prejudice - the book,TV series and the movie. Infact Bride and Prejudice was the only version I was not so crazy about :D

Oh, Nalini, I love it! I just fell in love with that house in P&P and I didn't know the Duchess was filmed there, as well. Kiera Knightley must think she lives there by now, hehe.
Thanks for sharing!
