I've just finished reading What Remains of Heaven, the latest Sebastian St Cyr book by CS Harris. It was very good, but I'm not sure if I can survive the wait for the next book! There is so much I want to know! Have you read it Nalini?
Last night I started Kiss of Crimson (Lara Adrian). It is reminding me of the BDB books, but then so did the first book. I'm interested to see where it goes.
I read The Mane Squeeze by Shelley Laurenston and thought it was hilarious! It's good to know there's a new St Cyr book out there is so much going on...
On another topic anybody else notice Scrubs got resurrected?
Orannia - I've read both BDB (Black Dagger Brotherhood) and MB (Midnight Breed). At first they are similar but then the mythology for MB goes in a completely different direction. I enjoy both.
My recent reading recommendations would be Dark Stranger by Susan Sizemore, sort of a spin-off but more like a world within a world, from her Primes series. I really enjoyed the paranormal + sci-fi aspect. I also read Ballad by Maggie Steifvater which was really good and Unbound a paranormal romance anthology and enjoyed all five stories.
I loved the interviews. I've just been rereading Michelle Sagara's fabulous Cast in series and am now on the newest one Cast in Silence. Sigh. Now I have to wait until next fall for Cast in Chaos!!
As for what next, I'm not really sure. Maybe the Mysterious Benedict Society and the Prisoner's Dilemma for a complete change of pace.
I also have a pile of articles for research (in English and French) on the history of the publication and translations of the first YA novel (1699).
This week I've read Tammy William's "Choices" and Blindsided". I adore these two stories. And I finally read Harry Potter 7, which I threw under my bed the day it came out. Besides the fact that she killed off my favorite character (something i knew since the day the book came out and the reason I threw it under the bed), I loved it.
Well, I've been lucky lately, some really great "older" reads, books I've been catching up with. Read, "Simple Jess" by Pamela Morsi & love it! Also liked, England's Perfect Hero by Suzanne Enoch -- both historical romance reads.
M/M -- I forgot to mention it here, but I guess the biggest recommendation from me ATM is Almost Like Being in Love by Steve Kluger. This a 2005 Lamda Literary Award winner and worth the read. Loved it!
M/M -- Reading, "A Perfect Game" by McLeod & Valentine and enjoying it.
AND, catching up with Susan Elizabeth Phillips backlist, I'm now reading, Heaven, Texas. :)
PS: I've missed a few weeks & forgot to post that I'm now totally hooked & obsessed with Meljean Brook's Guardian series. I started it a few weeks ago & already finished Demon Night. On to Demon Bound. YAY!
Hi Nalini :) Thank you for the update post. And thanks for the interview at Knight Agency. I`m reading Linda Wisdom`s HEX series right now. Happy Holidays, RKCharron
I just read Marjorie M. Liu's 'Tiger Eye' yesterday. It wasn't quite as good as yours, Nalini, but I would definately have given it 4 stars, hehe! I'm looking forward to the next books in the series. Am I the only one who, while reading this, had 'it's the eye of the tiger, it's the thrill of the fight' song running through my head, hehe?
I gotta admit, this week has been pretty blah in the book department. Lots and lots of rereads, but nothing overly exciting.
I've been so hammered at work that all I can think of is sleep. lol. How sad and pathetic is that? But, thankfully my friends love me and I usually end up with at least one B&N gift card for Christmas. I hope anyway. :D
I'm reading "Smooth Talking Stranger" by Lisa Kleypas. So far is incredible! And I just finished "Wicked Deeds on a Winter's Night" by Kresley Cole.So far my favorite of her book series.
I loved the your interview!! (I just found this blog so I'm looking at your older posts!!)

I read and loved Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl this week. I thought it was emotionally engaging and marvelous.
I read Fallen by Lauren Kate and thought it was OK. I expect it to improve when the sequels come out as the story seemed really incomplete.
I'm currently reading Shadowland by Alyson Noel which follows Evermore and Blue Moon. It has been a big week for YA paranormals for me.
I just started Hunter's Need by Shiloh Walker, only at page 43 so far but ejoying it.
I'll be looking up those interviews!

Thank you Una. I've stumbled on Kiss of Crimson at Page 88, so I've picked something else up instead. Do you think I should keep going?
I'm re-reading the Magical Christmas cat. I'm enjoying it.
