Weekly Catchup

I'm cooking up something fun, fun, fun for you guys next week, but I'll let you know the details once they're confirmed. Check back tomorrow and I should have things sorted...oooh, what can it be?

This week, I've been playing over at the Romance Novel TV forum. I couldn't tell you I was there because I was the Mystery Author. Seriously, you guys have to go over and play this game. Each week they have a new mystery guest and the aim of the game is to unmask the author by asking them questions. Of course, the author can be as mysterious as they like *grin*

And I can't believe I forgot to link to the AAR trivia contest and mini-interview with me. I think there are still a couple of hours left to enter the draw to win a whole pile of books, so hurry!

Okay, tell me your news, plans, raves and rants about the week and upcoming weekend.

My rant of the week is that I've been sick with a horrible cough for over a week now. I'm going in to the doctor this afternoon, so hopefully they can give me something for it. And I have to work a half day on Saturday.

But my rave is that I have reserved seats for an event at Macy's Saturday afternoon featuring Dave Lieberman from the Food Network. I adore him!

My week has been completely insane! I've been training one person as my back up as well as training new people this week. My head feels like it's spinning in circles. :)

Read some great books though, so I can't complain too much. :D

I've been working on my Top 100 Romances List for All About Romance. It's one of my favorite exercises and seems to change yearly for me.

I continue to be astounded by how many Nora Roberts books show up in my top 50. Eleven! Isn't that amazing? The second closest author is Linda Howard with five.

It's a really fun exercise. It appeals to my OCD side to be so organized. LOL!

Hope everyone is having a fantastic week. Nalini, it was fun playing with you at RNTV!

Nalini, thanks for the heads-up about the AAR page. Prize available to US only (grrrr) but I still know all the answers to the questions about you! i hope to have a decent weekend as my husband shouldn't be working. that means he can take care of our baby while i sleep the morning away (yeah, right... but that's okay at least we can still be around each other). my current favourite song is Bubby by Colbie Caillat. do you know it? and a great weekend to you too!

Sounds like everyone has had a rough week. I know what you mean about your head spinning kaitlin - I feel the same way (although it's not work but being dragged from pillar to post sorting out the family).

I get my new gym programme tomorrow...I joined last week but I haven't been inside a gym since I left the UK (almost 2 years ago). I'm scared. However, tonight I get to watch America's Next Top Model - YAH - and start the third book in the Black Jewel trilogy. Yes, they are diametrically opposite...what can I say :)

Have a lovely weekend all!

PS Oh, and I'm being cultural this weekend (I'm going to the ballet) and sporty (I'm going to watch the Rugby World Cup semi-final games...even if the All Blacks aren't playing :(

PPS Nalini...I'm going to spend the rest of the evening thinking about what you might surprise us with (and no doubt getting it completely wrong :)

Hey Nalini,

Hope you're having a good weekend. I'm sick as he!! so not up to much. But I did cause havoc with Sair and Lami last night. Tonight I'm heading out for girls' night with some friends. Dinner and Elizabeth: The Golden Age. And there are some very unfortunate photos now of last week's Zombie party.

Hugs,
Kat

Nalini,

I was just wondering how I would go about getting signed coppies of your work. If you could just answer back on here, I'll check it later.

Thanks!!!

Nahlini, followed the link from RD over to your site and checked it out. Didn't think anyone but me read and loved Simple Jess by Pamela Morsi - I adore that book!! I've read it several times and keep it on my read-over-and-over shelf. Keep writing the good stuff and we'll keep right on reading ...
