Weekly Catchup & Mine to Possess Copy

It's Friday again - time to catch up. But first, I want to let you know that I'm over at Love Is An Exploding Cigar today, talking about walking on the dark side. Come join me! (NB: You have to register to comment but it's very easy).

Now onto the news - this has been a very exciting week for me, with CBI hitting #6 on both the Barnes & Noble and the Borders/Waldens Romance lists! Yippee!! And huge thanks to my readers!!

But wait, there's more. Here's the finalized backcover copy for Mine to Possess.
Nalini Singh pulls away another dark layer of sheer desire, revealing passions unknown, in her latest novel about the world of the Psy. A ghost returns from a leopard changeling’s past, making him question everything—even his base animal instincts…

Clay Bennett is a powerful DarkRiver sentinel, but he grew up in the slums with his human mother, never knowing his changeling father. As a young boy without the bonds of Pack, he tried to stifle his animal nature. He failed…and committed the most extreme act of violence, killing a man and losing his best friend, Talin, in the bloody aftermath. Everything good in him died the day he was told that she, too, was dead.

Talin McKade barely survived a childhood drenched in bloodshed and terror. Now a new nightmare is stalking her life—the street children she works to protect are disappearing and turning up dead. Determined to keep them safe, she unlocks the darkest secret in her heart and returns to ask the help of the strongest man she knows...

Clay lost Talin once. He will not let her go again, his hunger to possess her, a clawing need born of the leopard within. As they race to save the innocent, Clay and Talin must face the violent truths of their past…or lose everything that ever mattered.
Hope you like!

Okay, your turn. Share what's been happening in your corner of the world!

The blurb is so intense. I can't wait for his story. Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed CBI - just finished it last night. Thanks for creating such a complex yet engaging world, Nalini!

Ummmm, after reading that blurb my brain can't concentrate on more mundane things *grin* Mine to Possess sounds sooooo good - how long until it is released again?

Have a lovely weekend everyone!

PS I'll be spending the weekend packing...it's very scary to see how many things your parents accumulate over their lifetime!

PPS Oh, and if I can squeeze it in, I might go and play (unfortunately not the Changeling kind of play :) in the garden. The weeds are planning an uprising...

Ooh... I love it! Seriously, your changeling series is awesome. It's so creative.

My weekly catchup... there was a fire in one of the apartments behind mine the other day. It scared the heck out of me b/c the firemen were banging on all our doors making us get out. Everything is fine now, so that's great.

P.S. I haven't forgotten to give a review of CBI. I'm really sorry about that, but my classes this semester are so demanding. It sucks. :( My goal is to do it sometime the week of the 17th since I'll have some free time.

Wow - I can't wait to read MtP! (We're never satisfied, are we? LOL) Congratulations on the Bestseller - you deserve it!

I'm heading out of town this weekend to see an old college friend, and help her pick out her wedding dress. Should be fun! :)

I simply adore love stories where the h/h have a history. And I've always thought Clay was the epitome of "Still waters run deep."

When do we get to see the cover??

Such a greedy group, we are! LOL!

It's supposed to be gorgeous here in DC this weekend. So I'm going to grab a good book and spend some time outside. Have a terrific weekend, everyone!

I love that blurb, Nalini!

We're having a totally laid back weekend. After being out of town last weekend, I can't wait!

Have a great one. :)

I cannot wait either. The story sounds great. I put my thoughts about CBI on my blog. I so loved it. It was awesome. I think of the three it was the most emotionally charged - which might seem ironic - but that is how I felt.

Otherwise we are getting into the the swing of Kindergarten and making the needed schedule adjustments. I am going to submit a short story to the Romance Diva call for stories. So I have been finishing it and giving it that last proof read. I am pleased with it.

This weekend the hubby and I are going dancing - :)

Yay, so glad you all love the blurb. The book is very intense - I cried while writing it.

Re the cover: shouldn't be too long now!! :)

Sounds like everyone has had a busy week - have fun this weekend, no matter what you're up to!

(p.s. Abby - no worries :))

I'm leaving on Monday for a weeklong trip to the beach. It's my b-day gift to myself. My b-day is on the 22nd, so this will be a welcome respite. :)

I plan on reading, writing, watching movies, eating too much and sleeping like the dead. What more could a girl ask for? :)

Have a great weekend!
