Conferences and All

I'm going to send you over to the Writing Playground today, where the Playground Monitor has a great post up about conferences and how to handle them.

I, meanwhile, am going to head over to the post office to pick up a package. Ooooooh, what can it be?...

Well? What was it? Jewels? Shoes? Chocolate? Books? A treasure map?

I've been holed up the last two days reading "Safe Harbor" and now Alexis Morgan's latest. All except the times I have to grudgingly put the book down and go to that place known as WORK! Blech! Reading's WAY better.

Ermmm...I'm not very good at guessing games. I tend to just give up and say 'tell me already!'.

Several packages of foreign editions of Awaken the Senses! I think they're all Scandanavian.

Imagine if you could find a job where you read all day - anything you wanted?!

Spooky. I was thinking about how I'd have to see if you told us what you got in the mail, which led me off onto a tangent of "Wouldn't it be cool if you could get paid to read stuff you wanted to all day?"

I think the hypno eyes have worked a little too well. We've got the psychic friends hotline going on now. *snicker* I know you're shuddering at the thought. Just don't threaten me with Silence. That's just mean.

Oh, and can you read Scandanavian? Hmmm, if an author's work is translated into different languages, do many of them want more than one or two copies? I guess if you could read the language, but if not, what would you do with them? Hold a contest only for people who speak Japanese or whatever?

Obviously my mind tends to jump from topic to topic. I sometimes have the attention span of a flea. ... Um, what was I saying? ;)
