Tagged!

I've been tagged by Angelle, Kendra, Julie and Marie to do this blog, so here goes!

Here are the rules:

1. Each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.
2. People who are tagged need to write their own blog about their eight things and post these rules.
3. At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.
4. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.

8 Random Facts/Habits About Me

1. I have a minor in anthropology and I once spent two weeks on an archaeological dig. (Good research info for books and it gave me killer calf muscles. Digging is hard work!)

2. I hate having cold feet.

3. When I lived in Japan, my only form of personal transportation was a bicycle with a little basket in the front (handy!).

4. I like making lists and crossing things off. (Type A personality anyone?)

5. I've been tagged four times with these meme which is really weird because I wasn't tagged for like a year before that. Okay, wait, that's not a habit. How about...I regularly read lots of blogs but never comment. Call me a card-carrying member of Lurkers R Us.

6. Jigsaw puzzles drive me insane. Really, really insane. And yet I feel compelled toward them. Why?!

7. When I was writing Slave to Sensation, I ate peanut-butter toast for dinner on a pretty much continuous basis. (I love peanut butter toast).

8. I like bagel crisps (can delude self into thinking they're healthy).

I'm tagging the last eight people who commented on this blog (and if you don't have your own blog, you can do the tag in the comments - as Angelle said, resistance is futile *g*): Sweet, Abby, Yvonne Lindsay, Joyce, Casee, LesleyW, Amanda Ashby, Christina Phillips

I love meme sorts of posts - love the weird things you learn about people (especially when it's a favorite author!)

As for the peanut butter toast thing - as I was making my peanut butter sandwich (no jelly) for dinner tonight I actually thougt about peanut butter toast and how weird it was that I love PB sandwiches, but hate PB toast. *g*

( Weird I know )

3)It's only been in the last year that I've posted on the many blogs and message boards I frequent.
(was a total lurker for years and years)

4)At work I'm totally anal about stuff being in its place, but at home its a free for all. (maybe its because I work in a lab and some of that stuff can kill ya )

5)I start projects and halfway finish them ( I have a Charlie Brown latchhook crocheting project thats been in the closet for about 2 yrs ,thats only finished about halfway to his knees :(

6)No matter how bad a book is I have to finish it.

Amanda - it's yummy isn't it? :)

Shannon - LOL on the weird things. I left a few things out. Got to save it for the next meme *g* Btw, your peanut butter sandwich vs toast thing is weird. Toast trauma maybe?

Sweet - how fast do you read? I'm always curious about speed readers. Do you comprehend everything the first time through?

Angelle tagged everybody I might have tagged. LOL.

I do the same thing with pretzels--not the big soft ones, but the small, crispy biscuit like ones.

Well my speed reading usually depends on what else I've got going on. But, put it this way if I put my mind to it I could read 2-3 books a day. Word count varies , but I love big books 500 + pages. I have to force myself to go slower so books I've been looking forward to are not over so quick :(
As for comprehension that depends on the book and what kind of day I'm having. If its a pretty straight forward plot I comprehend the first time very well. Normally I only have to re-read stuff if I want to. More involved plots might make me do a re-read to get the jist of things. It just really depends on the day and what frame of mind I'm in before I even begin reading.

sweet- Wow! 2-3 books a day! That's a lot! Usually whenever I pick up any romance novel, I can read it in one day, but I never read more than one book a day.

And like you, I don't have a blog, so I'll post it here as well.

8 facts/habits....

1) I start my internship next week at a law firm, so I'm excited.

2) I type really fast.

3) One of my goals in life is to travel the world.

4) I have a goldfish, and he's gonna be 10 years old this year. No joke. lol

5) I always match my purse with my outfits. It bothers me if my purse doesn't much. lol

6) I'm a huge fan of football and baseball.

7) I absolutely love the strawberry soy milkshake that is across from where I used to live.

8) Whenever I'm driving, you'll usually find me singing along to whatever song is on the radio.

May - I never got into pretzels. Maybe I'll give those big ones a go when I'm in the States.

Sweet - wow 2-3 books a day! How awesome.

Abby - that's so exciting about the internship! I remember being so hyper the weeks before my internship started. I'm sure you'll have fun, though. Are you starting with a group?

Nalini,

Just wanted to let you know I wasn't ignoring your tag.

My broadband connection is down again - down since Mayday and counting at the moment.

I've just found out I can use a dial-up service, but we only have one phoneline so will only be on the internet for brief periods.

I will get to the tagging thing I hope. If my connection is ever sorted out. :(

Lesleyw - oh, I hope you get your connection sorted out. Hugs on the stress.
