Guess what I got in the mail from my wonderful editor (I adore her!) - an advanced copy of Visions of Heat!
It's so shiny and new. The colors are so bright in the actual printed cover and did you ever notice that the dots above the letter "i"'s in the title are little flames? It's beautiful, stunning and it's on my shelf now, right next to Slave to Sensation. I feel compelled to go stroke it now. Must resist...oh, what the heck!
Okay, calming down (not really), I cannot believe it's Wednesday already. Where is this week going? What have you all been up to so far? Any plans for the coming days? I've got editing to do on my current work in progress, some super-secret blog stuff to prepare for tomorrow *g* and a bar of chocolate to eat (it's calling to me...)

Congratulations! I can't wait for my copy. And I wanna know all about super-secret stuff ... especially if it's about the Psy series.
Oh, and if it makes you feel any better, it's not really Wednesday ... it's Tuesday. Don't know why you people on the other side of the world keep getting so confused. It clearly says Tuesday on my calendar. I checked. ;)
Wow, Nalini. That's so exciting!!!!!!
Super-secret blog stuff, eh? This reminds me of something. I remember checking out your blog/site a year or so ago, and you had this cool cursive font. I so wanted that font. I lusted after that font. (Yeah, as you pointed out on my blog, madness is an issue!)
Hey! Just checking out your blog!
I'm so excited for you, too.
I can't wait to see the shiny cover, and give it a good stroke for me - LOL!!

Hey, that's no fair! You already know what happens and now you're just taunting us with your ARC! :)
What's my plans for the coming days? You mean besides waiting impatiently for Visions of Heat and JRW's Lover Revealed? (why do these have to be released on the same day? How will I ever decide which to read first?) Not much. Just the waiting. And trying to pretend like I'm actually working while I'm checking out your blog.
Big congrats, that is exciting.
Is it Thursday over there yet?? :)
Still counting down the days until I get to see the flames in person...
Congratulations! Sounds like a great cover.
Thanks for sharing in the excitement! (And for not telling me I'm nuts *g*)
Jennifer K & April- the time difference thing is quite funny when you fly from here to the US. You arrive the same day you left, but when you return to NZ,if the flight's at a certain time, you miss out a whole day. It's like that day doesn't exist. Weird huh?!
Sara, Barbara, Kris, Lis - thanks!
Elle - LOL! Must've been some font.
Hey Julie!!
Yvonne - too funny. Does that mean we age backwards on those international flights?
Shannon - this is work - it's like research ;)
I gotta tell you, Nalini, the whole time difference thing FREAKS me out! I mean, it's weird enough to think that in my own country, it's currently 1:30 a.m. Wednesday where I am on the East Coast, but it's still Tuesday and 10:30 p.m. in California.
I visited Australia and New Zealand last fall and found the notion that I actually gained or lost an entire day very surreal. I mean, how do you LOSE, or GAIN for that matter, an entire day? It's just too weird for my brain to comfortably comprehend. Kind of like the whole time/space continuum, and, well, physics as a whole. It just makes my head hurt.
I've wondered before how authors who don't live in the states keep track of when they're supposed to join in chats and other PR stuff that originates from the states. I think I'd end up either a day early or a day late to most things. Kind of like the extreme version of Daylight Saving Time screwing with your schedule.
Hmmm. Sorry so long a rant. You can see the time thing baffles me.
OK. I'm ready for some super secret stuff now. Is it Thursday there yet? It's got to be close.
Very much looking forward to getting my (proper) copy of Visions of Heat. I love my ARC but I must have a copy to put next to StS on my bookshelf. And my review will be up on Amazon as soon as it will let me post it.
And tomorrow night I'm off to a signing for Lindsey Davis's new book Saturnalia. Going to be a long day because I'm going after work, but looking forward to it. Don't get to go to many signings. As most of the authors I follow are in the States, or in New Zealand. :)

Just realised, I'll have to check your blog first thing in the morning and hope the super secret stuff is posted then. Else it's going to be nearly Friday before I find out what it is.
The super-secret stuff will still be viable no matter when you read it! Hope you all like what I've come up with (it's fun) :)
Btw - Lesley - have fun at that signing!
And Jennifer: www.timeanddate.com/worldclock is my very good friend!
Nalini,
Just finished Bound for Marriage and loved it! Hot scenes, heart wrenching scenes - it had it all! I love how Jess sees through Gabe's insecurities and accepts him despite what he says. And I love the fact that she stays true to herself, despite all the outside pressure to buckle to convention. Thanks for the great website and your selfless promotion of other authors - I've discovered some great authors & books thanks to you.
ps I used to live in the Philippines and the trip back and forth from the States is a doozy!
I want Visions of Heat on my shelf! *g* I re-read Slave to Sensation the other night. *sigh* I can't even tell you how much I adore that book.
Only 13 more days!
LOL you've got every right to be excited with your ARC; feel free to give Vaughn a stroke from me ;)
I love the cover from what's shown on your site.
I'm off tomorrow too so as soon as I figure out the time thingy I'll be able to check out the SSchanges.
Nina & Casee - thank you!! You've definitely started off my morning with a smile :)
Clare - stroking him now *g*
