Have a read of this Time magazine article on Blogs Coming of Age. What's your reason for blogging?

I started my blog to help promote my writing. Now I use it to post favorite pictures and share my feelings about the writing process and life in general. It's become like my little sanctuary on the net.

I started blogging because Lynn (you know her) and Patricia (another friend) thought that I would enjoy it and that it would kick-start my writing.

Well... it has!!! I am writing essays for The Vasculits Foundation. And, some poetry on the site. And wow. I am even thinking about a novel again. I also write training guides. I have decided to write anything and everything. ;-)

Milady - I've heard several people say the same. At least one friend has become more of a blogger than a writer. Do think you'll eventually pull back or is blogging more fun for you than writing?

Josie - I think my blog is sort of like that as well. Writing oriented but fun (I hope). It's also a communicative thing, isn't it? I've made so many new online friends through blogging.

Cynthia - you go girl! Sounds like you're racing along with all that writing. :)

Interesting point about finding your voice. I reckon some blogs (usually small, personal ones) allow people to do just that, while others make people tailor their voice to suit their audience. Does that make sense?
